OFFICIAL SG Ball Cup

Attacking inside the opposition 20 let us down today....sounds very familiar!

Anyway, some good promising players in the side who need to keep developing their game through the grades. Hopefully we see a few line up in Flegg over the coming weeks seeing as their season is now finished.

Was 12-10 Parra with 3 minutes to go. Mason charged through to take a bomb and fumbled it over the try line. Would have put Maggies back up by 4 but not to be...
Would have been nice to see a replay of that, I reckon he got that down… but anyway….

Yep, Flegg will do them wonders.

A fair few of those Parra boys today have played Flegg for a couple years now, and their class showed.

It's friggin ridiculous that we have boys with talent playing for 2 teams in Ball. Can we just end the charade of pretending Balmain exists and just have one team.
Why? You'd end up losing heaps of them depending on where you would base the team as they're kids and would pick a closer team for training etc. We get to have a crack at kids in the Balmain catchment and Campbelltown catchment this way and cherry pick the best ones into Flegg if we do it correctly. Roosters do the same with the Central Coast

I can't believe this result. I mean Tim Sheens said many times that these are the best junior players he's ever seen.
You miss the point mate, only a handful of these guys will make grade and that's what they mean when they say it's a good crop. Doesn't mean the entire team is stacked and it doesn't mean they are consistent every week.

It also doesn't mean that the opposition also doesn't have very good juniors.

Winning the comp is great, but it's what happens to those kids that count far more.
