I thought we were close to signing RTS. 😩I wonder if the Warriors would let go of either Metcalf or Volkman to make space for RTS?
U have hit the nail on the head , I have been saying this for years , sheens says we are in a rebuilding situation, so go out and offer the best up and coming kids in the 1/2s and the best centres , a chance to play 1st grade now offer them a sliding scale of payment over the next 3 years . As u said we can’t buy seasoned players so let’s build them , BUT we need to start todayWe have No Chance of landing existing NRL stars . We are a " no go zone " Even paying overs to already well paid stars won't work . Wighton really ?
We have to play MONEY BALL and find the hidden stars in NSW cup and QLD cup and Flegg .Specifically we must find a couple of centers and half's
Restricting ourselves to just our cup and flegg sides is too small a pond to fish in and haven't seen much there so far . Look at the top teams in cup comps .Storm do
It's up to the CEO to help deliver a successful side onfield to keep the media at bay. He's had a crack for 8 Seasons and has failed. The solution is easy.You’re not wrong. I noticed Blake Solly in the coaches box last night. I wonder if there will be outrage about the CEO staying clear of the footy department and focussing on wining and dining the sponsors. I suspect not.
I’ve given up NRL 360 for the clear agenda they have against the Tigers.
BP, it’s not that simple either. Young potential stars have managers who want the best option and in many cases the trade off of a booming career for a few bucks more can prove to be a poor decision.U have hit the nail on the head , I have been saying this for years , sheens says we are in a rebuilding situation, so go out and offer the best up and coming kids in the 1/2s and the best centres , a chance to play 1st grade now offer them a sliding scale of payment over the next 3 years . On the behind the raw podcast the host mentioned he is friends with the bloke who apparently said it and he strait up asked him about it and he said I never said anything like that Dodd has never asked me anything about going to the nrlI thought there were actual quotes in the article?
Looks good in theory, but I think the Dolphins are actually pretty happy with JMK at hooker, some pundits even have him as the NZ #9 this year.More food for thought;
We have one of the best hookers in the comp - Api Korosau.
We also have one of the best emerging talents at hooker - Tallyn Da Silva.
Some say he looks a year off, some say two years.
Odd man out around, making up the numbers is my guy: Jake Simpkin.
I'm a big fan of this kid, he'll be a star in the future... however we're all in on Tallyn, it seems.
Could Jake be traded?
Now this is where it gets interesting.....
Who could we trade him with ?
I think I've worked out the perfect deal.
Jake Simpkin, Wests Tigers - Out
Jeremy Marshall King (Utility)
Jack Bostock (Centre, Wing)
= In.
Both at the Dolphins.
Jack is a Dragons junior who played u19s origin last year and is earmarked for a huge future.
This is a fair deal, imo.
If all the players live up to potential, we could see a backline of;
1 Jahream Bula
2 Jack Bostock
3 Josh Feledy
4 Jnr Tupou
5 Jordan Hill
That's a young, promising backline that with the right development could go far.
Graham has played alot of wing for the RabbitsDef To'o, not sure if Graham is a winger. JAC if he's back
Hmmmm sounds like a half we let goI have just finished watching St Helen’s game and that Dodds looks alright. Lots of pointing, talking, waving his arms around and coordinating their attack. That’s what we need - someone who just runs the show - couldn’t care less if he never has a run but if he can it’s a bonus. He wants to come to the NRL but there aren’t many clubs looking for a half. Possibly raiders if Jack goes. We should have a crack - I know his boss said don’t come to tigers but this is the sort of stuff we are up against in our recruitment. People just laugh at us
U are not wrong , but I can tell u that if u don’t try u don’t get anything . Kids want everything today not tomorrow, if u tangle a 1st grade spot with a upgrade on there income I think u would get more than u would get knocking u backBP, it’s not that simple either. While we remain stuck with a non-meritorius system of management, this view of outsiders won’t change.
The best we can hope for is we produce a few young stars that can sign with successful clubs.
Our team is full of those players. As an example, we had a crack at Suailii, we also had a red hot go at Laurie.U are not wrong , but I can tell u that if u don’t try u don’t get anything . Made plenty of offers.n.o-one wants to come.Benji magnet is back to front?Does anybody know what our club is planning on doing with the extra money they have left over, the only thing i can think of is Brooks, because they certainly are not making any big offers to anyone.
They won’t let Simpkin go , I think they will make him see out his contract until tallyn is ready which for him means limited minutes off the bench further stalling his already stalled developmentMore food for thought;

I’d say he is learning a hell of a lot playing off the bench behind apiThey won’t let Simpkin go , I think they will make him see out his contract until tallyn is ready which for him means limited minutes off the bench further stalling his already stalled development
