Paul Kent

First of all.

Lest We Forget.

Second.

I’d love to get my hands on Paul Kent. Absolute stain on the game, his agenda and the way he bullies people is soo clear.
Has anyone met this flog?
Yes, met him at the Melbourne Cup and seemed ok, but we were talking horses not football.

I’m actually curious - Kent and Hooper and NRL360 get a lot of hate on here like “Waaaa their saying bad things about the Tigers again!”. Yet they don’t say anything that doesn’t get said by most people here, and we’re usually far less tame. I generally find their assessments of the CEO/Board/coaching/playing style/Brooks/club decisions in general to be fairly accurate. The truth hurts.
That's a very Frosty response.

This is what got up my nose - he has bagged the board for months - Simon Cook stands down and suddenly Kent reckons he is a great bloke and the only one doing anything. He forgot to mention that Cook has been on the board for the past 10 years and done absolutely nothing. He then goes on to say Dorahy has the runs on the board but his appointment is a ploy and he won't do anything. The guy is a wanker of the highest order.

"
"Earlier this week, board member Simon Cook, one of the few bright lights at the club, stood down from his position on the board to make way for John Dorahy.

From the outside it looks a cynical ploy to add an extra layer of cover between criticism of the football team and criticism of the board, where the true problem lies.

Dorahy is a cult hero from the days of the Western Suburbs Magpies, the days of a cloud of dust and a bucket of blood.

Dorahy is a class act. He has worked at various levels of local council and government, as well as holding board positions before, and his appointment will somewhat safeguard the board against criticism for its lack of footy knowledge.

The directors will just nod towards Dorahy."
Kent made his mind up on the Tigers before a ball was kicked in 2023 calling out at the start infighting between Sheens and Marshall. He then bags the board constantly, the board are not making the tackles on the field.

100%, kept Kenty in line and offered a more reasoned perspective. Bwaithe is better than I thought he’d be but he doesn’t temper Kenny like Ikin did.
Never really been a fan of Dan Ginnane as an NRL commentator on Fox / Kayo but actually quite liked him on NRL 360 while Bwaiffe was away for a week or two tossing off over the golf.

It wasn't that he was that great on NRL 360 it's just that he wasn't Bwaiffe.

No they aren’t, but they are hiring the ones responsible to coach the team into the tackling. Criticism falls on the coach and players, but also falls on the board for hiring them in the first place.

I don't think that people are complaining about what is said about us but it is far more to do with the fact that it is ONLY directed at us.Dogs and Newie have recently had more terrible years at rock bottom than we have (last year and so far this year) and neither have ever copped the crap from News Ltd that we have.
The dogs have been shit for many years and still are with Newie winning the wooden spoon for years in a row
Yes this ^ Not saying criticism of us is not deserved, but where is all the criticism of those teams you mentioned? Dogs have spent a fortune in the past 2 years signing ‘elite’ players only to still play mostly like crap. Newcastle won 3 wooden spoons in a row but never got bagged, during that time, anywhere near as much as we do. Although going better this season, the Warriors are perennial underachievers despite having great rosters at times and surely the Titans epic capitulation last weekend deserved at least a cursory mention?

Hooper wouldn't know the difference between a footy and a frankfurt, his opinion is absolutely worthless. He just goes with whatever opinion is popular in the hope that someone might vaguely want to be his mate and show some interest in him.

Kent is calling it how it is at the moment which is fair enough. He's got a real bee in his bonnet with a few at the club which is obvious, there are a few clubs that aren't doing a whole lot better than ours on and off the field who basically never get a mention which is strange.
So is he using us as an easy target for the show ? Or does it come from a truly concerned point of view ? And yes Hooper's a Twat

OK, he's certainly not on the same level as his namesake at the Daily Planet, but can anyone prove his criticisms are incorrect? Anyway, why is he getting so angry at Tigers' ineptitude? If the Eels were as bad as us he'd probably have a meltdown.

It's similiar to people who can't stand someone in their family. They'll badmouth them ad nauseum but when someone else does they defend them to the hilt.
