In the Tigers search for an 'experienced half' or an 'organising half', I've wondered about the importance of signing a 'name' player of just a guy that fits the mould of what they are looking for.
I'm not convinced that there are significantly talented halves that fit the 'gun rookie' type label available.
And watching guys like Wakeham, Flanagan, Townsend, Te Maire Martin, the half at the Titans, Dearden, Hastings, Gamble etc playing in first grade, and being SOMEWHAT effective....there's a guy I've always thought was pretty underrated & every time he's stepped into first grade, I thought he AT LEAST kept the team competitive.
Matt Frawley from the Raiders.
I just wonder that if a guy that plays within himself, with a very good kicking game, could be the foil to say, Luke Brooks. I've always thought he was a little bit like Aiden Sezar as a player, but without the opportunity.
He just happens to be off contract next season as well, and would hardly break the salary cap. Until a 'boom youngster' becomes available- would a player like Frawley improve the Tigers?
