Jahream Bula #269

Most on here don’t have much time for Nathan, mainly due to the action of his grubby father.
On Thursday afternoon training session in Bathurst, Nathan stayed back for 4 hours signing autographs for the local kids, a big kudos for him.
Yes, I think Nathan Cleary, apart from being a very talented player, has wised up and got a pretty smart head on his shoulders these days.

He has come a long way and is much smarter than he was a couple of years ago when he was tiktok dancing and lying during the Covid lock downs and charged with disrespecting the Provan Summons trophy.

Seems to be very humble and speaks well about others, but on the negative side has some grubby mates who he has probably been friends with for many years and I guess it would be harsh to judge him based on their actions because they have not reached the same maturity level that he has managed to achieve.

Is this a jahream bula thread or a cleary thread...🤔

Can't wait to see him keep building and hope he has another great game on sunday
Im with you mate, the Cleary drama is way past and in our history and just a side note I think Pascoe was as much to blame as Ivan for the poor way it was all done...HOWEVER we now have a great kid at 1 who I personally think will go a very ,very long way in the NRL arena..I have seen much potential and talent out in the country where a majority of these kids come from and I dont know where JB hails from ,BUT he is in our system and Pasco,Sheens and co better do something to keep and develop him for us the WTs before the brown bag brigade come a hunting...

I remember reading a post about Bula a couple of months ago. From what I'd read here, I was very excited to see him get a go and - as with any young player you haven't seen - you only have the opinion of others as to whether he'll make it out not.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure it was a post by @Demps that said "trust me. He'll be good."

You were most certainly right. What amazing composure and talent the kid has.

As an old fullback it's always the position I pay the most attention to, and I'm so happy they've got a kid I have nothing but optimism about instead of frustration.

Here's hoping the mistakes of the past don't come back to haunt us and they can keep him for years to come.

I can't take the wraps for that.
Gotta feeling it was @Eternal Tiger
Shout out to him

We haven’t had a full back hang around the ruck since hodgo. Once the forwards get used to him hanging around I reckon he will go up a level in attack
He’s a natural footballer and his defence excellent, especially for his stature. A real find.
I also thought Wakeham was much better today( except for mistake ) and Nofa turning back the clock.

The run he took from a Klemmer(?) offload was what got me excited. There was nothing happening there but he got himself into a position to capitalise.

I also thought he was quite strong carrying the ball out from our own line. Never really got pushed back and found his front more often than not.

Agree with @Demps ...still plenty of gears for the kid.
