Not sure if this has been brought up but we are 8th for points conceded this year I think. Hope the focus on defence doesn't go away in this game.

Yeah, averaging a touch under 23 points in 9 outings, so much better, as we were 30% worse off under the previous coach.

Would like to see Blore & Matamua given a chance over Joe O. & AJ. Joe seems to be injured or unfit, AJ brings loads of energy but still making some stupid plays. I think Matamua could help our attack click as a ball-playing lock. By all accounts Blore has been performing strong in KOE & can cover the middle or back row. Why not continue to give youth a go, look what happened with Bula & Jnr!

I completely agree but in recent history we have done ok against Souths, it's been competitive when I was expecting a flogging.

I think the Tigers are a much harder team to play against than what the media are giving them credit for.
Bloke in a Bar, Levels and Cooper Cronk don’t really sound genuine in their praise for the Tigers, and to be honest I don’t even think they really watched the game on the weekend or previous ones, based on their insights.
Will be interesting to see how South’s go against a team with a really high completion rate. If we get rid of the silly rakes, not finding touch (as we did against Panthers) etc we’re a tough team for anyone to beat.

Our right edge will be under enormous pressure as they will confront Souths left side attack of Latrell and Cody and Alex J coming at them .
Last week they gave Storm rightside massive problems so please Tim shore it up
Maybe Nofo ,Toa and Brooks and Bateman .Maybe Twal whos a great tackler can drift a little wide instead of constantly burning 4th and 5th tackle in the middle of the field looking for that elusive try that will never come .
Our defence can hold only if our wingers,centers,fullback half's and edge forward work together as a team but it will need a super effort

I think Trell is one snap away from blatantly doing something unbelievably dangerous & showing the world what we already know.
There has been no bigger grub in the game - yet gets away with everything.
He is the most sinbinned player in the game along with Radley so he tests boundaries for sure.

team as expected. gravely concerned about Talau marking up on Campbell Graham, that may well be the mismatch that decides this one.
I think our forward pack holds up in this one yet again but the massive issue is the impact Souths have off their bench with Arrow, Knight and Burgess. if we're going to get anything from this game then Ofahengaue, Twal and AJ all have to lift to their level. if we don't then this game will get away from us very quickly.
Cody Walker and Latrell are electric at the moment. there's very little you can do to mitigate their impact I just hope we kick well and mark up as best as we can. Souths can leak points but we'll need to be clinical.

It’s funny some of these guys our coaching staff talked up in the offseason are already on the nose…why pump their tyres if you aren’t fully committing to them?
