Anybody thinking Brooks should be re signed as a 7 should take a good look at how many times we put points on when we have the ball in the opposition twenty.
We need someone to control the play… and in a hurry.

How is this all Brooks fault ?

I posted a while back when he was copping it some of the passes he threw in the attacking zone for us to score tries. The last two weeks he has controlled play and outplayed Nathan Cleary and Ben Hunt.

Sure we need another half but the control play idea doesn't hold up to reality.

Yep, lets blame the guys who have played 20-30 games, rather than the 200 gamer who does very little to organise them.

Unless we sign a half to replace him it would be a mistake to let him go.

Regardless of who the halves are we should be looking for two decent centres one at least and work on our pack running better lines inside the opposition 20 which may help convert the opportunities.

Douehii was clearly our worst in every game he played by several miles - then add the likes of Nofa and Laurie who were garbage until dropped!

Even when Brooks was struggling for attacking touch - he made his tackles unlike the three busted arses above!

I still find him very lacking, not just as a half but as an overall player.

Even after those two wins, I'd let him go after this season.

Everyone has room for improvement but I can't see the ceiling being much higher for this guy.

This is the problem with the Brooks bashers who clearly have no idea. Brooks isn't a marquee half. I don't think he will ever be a marquee half.

I have never stated that Brooks needs a better pack or anything like that as well so this argument is also a bit stupid when you are using it on me.

Andrew Johns is the best player I've ever seen. He played in a Newcastle team with consistently good forward packs. He won 2 premierships. I assume your point is that marquee players need good forward packs but even that isn't true.

He needs to play eyes up demps .Brooks often turns waiting to play the next training drill . But his effort has definitely improved.
You want your best half to override calls in attack
