My point is if you’re the 9th or 10th team and you’ve been in your opinion hard done by , and the 7th team is someone like the roosters or Brisbane , who seem to get forever ending rub of the green , do you still think that you will have the same ideas around traditionalism ? I actually think the game should be in 2 conferences come 20-22 teams .
A south and a north . Drawing an imaginary line right along the parramatta river .
You could go with a top 4 of each conference or a top 4 , with the 5th placed teams of both conferences playing each other , with the team with the best overall record getting a bye in round 1 , and the play in game happening mid week, say Thursday , to follow up the final round 1 playoff game on Monday night , against the seeded 2 team overall . So a massive advantage for the 2 seed , and a massive disadvantage for the play in team .
There would be drama galore , never ending chat about burnout , and maintaining freshness , it would absolutely own the zeitgeist .

If it's 20-22 teams everyone should play each other once you could do some rounds with only 5 games to spread out the season

Also mid season I would have a trade break say after round 11 everyone gets a bye that weekend you could trade players and send them off to a new club the NRL will still be in the paper for the trade window

I would also have a reserve grade knockout on Wednesday nights with Qld NSW clubs the two best WA clubs and hopefully 1 Melbourne club I would love to watch it the NRL could give the players some cash what they need players will feel special being on television and get exposure and you could play with any new rules it's on tv the fans could see what they are trying to change

Pretty sure that he still sees himself as a middle and is happy to play edge if required.
 
I heard Carr is very direct when talking to his players. Sometimes the direct way could get players & staff offside if it’s done with a touch of intimidation or gets personal. He has a very good reputation as an assistant so I am happy to have him here. I just hope any baggage won’t impact him moving forward
