My guess is...

* He's been unhappy and uninterested.
Sheens & Benji are putting a lot of belief in him & he's enjoying it, for the first time in a long time.

* He has a good pack at last. Some real leaders in there, with Klem, Api, Ice and Bateman... which is also elevating guys like Pole and Stef.

* His better games where when he was paired with Mbye. I think we've found a decent foil in Wakeham - who plays his role and allows Luke to be the #1 guy, empowering his confidence & position in the team.

* We've unlocked dad mode Brooks - might be aware that his time in the game is nearing its final few years and he wants to actually make the most of what he has left.

I love how every good game, people say it's only 1 game. Maybe just can't count past 1?

He should be lauded for a cracker, in both attack and defence , plus even showed a bit of aggro. Must have been coz Grub was there watching,
It’s just that we need him to play well on a very regular basis to give us a chance.
I concede that a new contract has probably already been drafted and after that sort of game it will be signed quickly.
Special mention to Joffa. As you know I’m not a huge fan but for him to come out and play like he did, and to see the players reaction shows he must be well regarded.
Those tears he shed plus the call for several group photos with him at the end, will stay with me for a long time as testament to human nature. Good luck mate for your future.

The club and team was a basket case, that’s why. If halves keep playing like that they don’t need to sign anyone.

No doubt you can go past the debut but that game aside, that was the best game Luke Brooks has played in first grade and not sure many, if any, others go close.

That was the kid that spent less time doubting himself and more time backing himself.

As someone who has felt Brooks is not a 7 for a long time, he played bloody great tonight. It was the best I think I've ever seen him play. I hope he continues his form for the rest of the season.
