Joe Ofahengaue #240

manly probably need to offload schuster's 800k so they can keep others. I would say Schuster is heading our way with Manly paying a small amount of freight

I guess Joe is okay with the move or he would not have agreed to the deal. We actually do not know who is driving the deal and why, and probably will never know.

Although on tonight you have to scratch your head why the club would go through with this deal. Joe is every bit as good as old man Tyson Frizzled
The silence from the club is deafening.
Theyre usually way too quick to hose down an innacuracy in the media....but when somethings gunna paint them in a bad lad occurs, shut up shop.

I hate these scenarios, ppl arguing we can promote a youngsters now, we can save money...rubbish, we can prom ote AND keep him, theres always opportunitys thru a season reps, suspensions, injueries

Come clean WTs and explain wtf is going on...from all I can see we lose a solid first grader and gain nothing, we arent in a position to do this

Most on here were whinging when we let big Ken go. In comes Toupu, Laurie for Bula etc. We have plenty of talent coming through. I'll put my trust in Sheens.

Like I wrote elsewhere, if Joe has to do another medical with the Parrasites because he played yesterday, If I was him I would blow the medical and tell Wests Tigers, "Sorry, but looks like I'll have to stay and see out my contract till the end of 2025."

Blore, Seyfarth, Matamua are all better options than Joe for half the price.
It's all about managing a roster that's top heavy with forwards and short of backs.
All this angst about a bench/reserve grade player.

What has to be considered isn't just whether Joe is adequate but that at the moment with Staines out we have 8 backs in the club who can play at NRL level.
That's a precarious place to be.

I'm not so sure, in view of events like Fulton being appointed with out the knowledge of Sheens, who knows where this decision to release Joe really does come from.

There were rumours of him being shopped around recently and he certainly didn't look like a guy that wanted out last night.

In any case, it was still a risky move appointing Jahream to a top 30 spot before he had even played an NRL game, especially when he was just coming off a lay off with injury and not absolutely killing it in KOE prior to that.

We got lucky with that decision and who is to say we will be that lucky if we promote someone else without trying them out in the top grade first, especially dumb now that we are able to play them since round 10 to see if they can step up a grade, basically a try before you buy situation.

The big difference is that young guns like Junior and Starford were already in the top 30, look at some of the players that were prematurely promoted to the top 30 and have failed to perform even in the lower grade.

If Seyfarth is a better player than Joffa I will swim to China . Just watch our pack get decimated with injury and suspensions if we let him go
But having only 1 back besides the 7 that played last night that is capable of playing NRL doesn't worry you?

I actually have a soft spot for our ranga Seyfarth, but I agree with what you are saying and there is nothing surer than us having our pack decimated with injury and suspensions if we let Joe go.

Do you think the Parrasites would release a forward to us if we are in the same situation they are in at the moment?

DON'T THINK SO.

Did u watch the nsw cup today , there bloody useless , so that blows ur statement out of the water
That wasn’t my point it’s Pole they want to play prop off the bench. Frizell looks like the recruit they are bringing in to play 13. May squeeze a few more years out of him in the middle. Has speed and can use the ball.

Not sure that’s the player I’d sign for that but looks like that’s the plan. From what I can see they seem to be pulling the right strings at the moment.

You'd think removing Laurie, blore, simpkins, seyfarth and the like would free up a spot for Joe to stay.
