Adam Doueihi #227

Yep. He is a player who has really gone backwards at this club but I'm not blaming the club. He doesn't seem to want to focus on being the best player he can be via working on his craft. He seems to be more interested in money and leadership.

Don't know about that...
Just a young bloke with talent who came through in the halves and probably grew a bit different to stay in that position.... Takes a bit for them to come around - Some of them a bit longer....
The game is full of them.

Wade Graham went to Cronulla as a half, Ended up an Origin back rower inside a few years...
Needs to look at the big picture.

just wondering due to Douihie's injury would the club be allowed to pay out his 2024 salary in 2023 and have the money spare to use in 2024 cap ?

I find it hard to believe that someone who’s has watched his games this year thinks he has something to offer any club? He can’t tackle and it’s gets worse the closer he gets to try line, he can’t set up his outside man, he’s slow, he can’t cement a position, his goal and general play kicking is average, injury prone, and he thinks he’s a gun?
He does seem to have some passion but he has so much to work on and it was plainly evident for all to see for 2 months prior to this injury that no club would have signed him if we didn’t.
As Hobo1 said "Pay him out. He is cooked."

AD had this weird mix of talent but slowness. Wayne Bennett could work out a way to coach him, but he doesn't fit any position. He is cooked.

Reserve grade at best, he can prove his fitness there in 2 years time and if he finds form, I hope he bulks up as a front rower because he isn't going in the back row again. Oh yea he can't tackle.
He is cooked.

Also, if it is determined that AD can't play in 2024 (or only for a few rounds) would the Tigers be entitled to cap relief like Saints did with Ramsey?
don't think they would as the ramsey situation is anon football related injury and AD's happened during a game so would think no salary cap dispensation

Can if he doesn't play next year....
Won't for this year though.

We got relief the second year Tuiaki was down I reckon....

Off to the glue factory.

I just don't care - this guy doesn't have the physique, mentality, commitment, toughness, footy IQ, athleticism or basic skill set to play professional footy!

He hasn't had it for such a long time - but in 2023 he has not only been a a passenger - but a serious liability - while his previous injury was still the excuse!!

He and his supporters need to lose the delusions about his potential NRL career!

Can he make it as an NRL player ? I'm not sure where you even play him. He gets next year to see if he can play footy at this level again. I really hope he comes back with a change in attitude. He needs to work on being the best player he can be rather than anything else.

Out of mind, out of sight.

However..

Saw him on the field with big smiles all around. I still believe this guy LOVES the Tigers.

I thought he could be #1. Bula changes that. I thought he could be #6. Wakeham is better than him there.

We DO need 2 strong centres. To'a is one. I honestly think when you already have a player of Doueihi's ability, you don't spurn it. We aren't a rich enough club to act that way.

Doueihi should be our other centre. It's probably his best spot in reality. And he provides cover for nearly everyone in the backfield.
