For me on the offa situation, I’m beginning to really trust the process we are going through. Maybe sheens benj and Robbie see something in a younger kid than what we do. Wasn’t long ago people were adamant jahream wasn’t ready and we would be dumb to throw him in now and look how that turned out junior was the same. Some players step up when thrown in the deep end others don’t maybe they see James or someone else as ready to fill that hole that offa will leave

Gold Coast saw something in Maumalo but he hasn’t been out of reggies.

Obviously there's issues there, he's talented but he clearly doesnt give a stuff. Whether or not he's kicking stones ala Moses and Matterson who knows. Sometimes a change of club does wonders for a player i dunno if we are that club though.

It’s an interesting time for the club. We’ve played some very good footy over the last month. We have roster spots and salary cap. Where are we looking to upgrade? It may well be we have most of the players we need in our best 17 and in the juniors coming through. In the starting 17 I believe left centre could be strengthened (Naden, Talau, AJ, Feledy coming through). I’d also like an impact prop off the bench (Spencer Leniu like). Possibly an upgrade in the halves as well. Judging from reserve grade, roster spots 18 to 30 need to be strengthened but I wonder if it’s just a matter of the juniors progressing over the next 12 to 24 months.

Watching the first 25mins of his game today 100% his defence and attitude to it need improvement. He did demonstrate his talent at ball playing in the red zone with their 2 tries though.

Yeah could well be just like Sheens and co moved on a lot of the Madge buys, this could be similar. Not the type of player they want but need to be seen as using him cause he's on 800k bit of the Brooks syndrome.

I get it but watch Manly’s 2nd try. I guess the question is if you had to pick defense or attack on your half’s and could only have one or the other what would you pick

the supposed 600k can be better spent in other positions is probably why joffa is being moved on.

We would be nuts not to go after Schuster if it was an option. Put Bateman beside him and 100% his defensive work rate improves and he would solve a massive weakness for us in attack.

Yep, it reminds me of when Tedesco debuted. Big wraps on him but I never saw him play as a Junior so had no idea. Of course, he busted his knee 1st game and we had to wait a year to learn more. With Bula there was some footage of him although nothing to write home about. But Sheens flagged him early and I have to say there's a real Benji like spark with this kid. He got his first TRY last night but was everywhere. Count the number of times he was at dummy half - his support play is enormous - bye bye Laurie.
