Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

With Bula there was some footage of him although nothing to write home about.
The only early footage I saw of Bula was v Easts in Reggies this year. They put up a bomb, Tupou (I think) tapped it back to Bula on our 10m line. Bula proceeded to beat 5 or 6 of their players and run 90m to score. I thought, on the basis of that, he might be one to watch.

Yep, it reminds me of when Tedesco debuted. Big wraps on him but I never saw him play as a Junior so had no idea. Of course, he busted his knee 1st game and we had to wait a year to learn more. With Bula there was some footage of him although nothing to write home about. But Sheens flagged him early and I have to say there's a real Benji like spark with this kid. He got his first TRY last night but was everywhere. Count the number of times he was at dummy half - his support play is enormous - bye bye Laurie.
Still need players like Laurie for squad depth. If you could sign him for something like he is already on (it’s pretty low from memory) he is worth a top 30 spot. Handy backup and can keep developing his 5/8 skills in KOE.

We need halves depth fast.
If Brooks or Wakeham get injured, we have absolutely nobody to replace them as Will Smith has been very ordinary over past few games in KOE Cup, he’s lucky to keep his spot in this grade, only we don’t have anyone else to replace him.
Pellow is poor defensively, not even close to NRL standard.

SPOTTED

Wests Tigers chairman Lee Hagipantelis, CEO Justin Pascoe, new recruitment boss Scott Fulton and player agent Mario Tartak dining at Totti’s Rozelle last week, no doubt discussing potential recruits for next year and beyond. Interesting in that Tim Sheens and demoted head of recruitment Warren McDonnell were not invited.
I am positive that Lee and Pascoe made public statements that they don't hire or fire players in the football department and that they run the commercial side of things day to day
No taking responsibility for any on field personal and performance
So the plot thickens they are just complete 💯 fWits

Have to bite my tongue, been yelling at my TV for a long time, Run brooksy run, and for years kept seeing him not take on the line, and all of a sudden he is doing that, taking on the line.

And look at the result.

Brilliant, he did what we have been waiting for,
And Wakeham and he seem to have formed a combo, plus Wakeham's goalkicking is looking pretty good. And Bula is getting better each week. And the forwards are going great.

That would be embarrassing, Lee and Justin are not part of the football department and have no business being involved in any discussions about the squad

He's on about 500-550k.

For him to re-sign we'd want him to cut his salary in half. He'll back himself to get more elsewhere

I agree, do u notice that joffa stays back at halftime to wait for brooks who is being interviewed by media, before going into the sheds?? It’s the little things…
Also noticed him with a tear in his eye on Saturday nite, that shows to me he loves the club. He’s great for club culture, stuff the slime, back out of the deal. Just readjust the money over a longer term, Lawrence like!
