LIVE GAME Round 14 vs. Raiders

Live Game Discussion
Not sure what you're trying to get at. Canberra were purposely holding players down for longer than allowed and repeated infringements should result in binnings. Am I saying something wrong here?
That may be true, but my point was if they only had 11 on the field, or 12 for 20 minutes we would have won. As it turned out, they had 13 on the field for far too long for us to win.

It wasn't a legitimate penalty you idiot. Ice Made an effort to charge down the kick but did not tackle the player. Did you watch the game doofus?

You dont need to tackle the player to draw a penalty. The responsibility falls to the defender ALWAYS!!!! All you need to do is make contact with the legs. Ice did. Penalty awarded. The rule is one of the most black and white in the rulebook and is always judged as such. Whether it was intentional or not it doesn't matter.

I'd really like to know what part of this you don't get?

But when have we won stats consistently like this? Hardly ever. Faiders have a big team and wighton was kept quit all nite. That’s something to be proud of. Instead of looking at all the bad shit, look at the good .shit for a change.

Sure, there were a couple of very poor and vital refereeing decisions that went against us, though a good deal of the "bad shit" was of our WT own making, including on the final play of the match.

We had an overlap and Nofoaluma waiting even further out hugging the sideline, yet after playing hot potato, then turn it back inside when it was too late and the tryline left wide open and begging.

Never seen a Fullback dominate like Jahream Bula has only 6 games into his career! The stats and involvement rate is absolutely off the charts! 28 RUNS for 236 METRES if you don’t mind, 1 try, 2 line breaks, 5 tackle breaks, 1 line break assist, 3 offloads, 7 tackles 0 missed. That is Dylan Edwards like, Bula is up there with the level of the truly ELITE
Settle down.
He returned good stats tonight, but didn’t play that well. He missed multiple opportunities to create points by blowing overlaps, made a few errors, dropped balls, getting tossed over the sideline. Etc…
He is still as green as. Certainly not elite, but in good form.

U know was thinking the same thing, unfortunately fonua had the ball in hand as brooks dropped back to take the field goal. Simple grabber and Nofa was in! Oh well, though we lost it at the restart after the field goal not enough people protecting the short kick off!

I don’t know why with the short kickoffs they don’t just tap them back we’re horrible at diffusing them we need to work out something different.

More elite than Tedesco at the same age - and certainly now!!

Enjoy your Maroons 3-0 Origin win this series - that I predicted if the buck-toothed bum retained his position/captaincy!

Teddy bombed a certainty going himself and not passing to JAC in Origin - at least we know Jahream will not bomb certain tries due to ego and hubris!!

Agree to disagree, watch the game again! At the game is not a fair reflection of reality!
For 68 minutes our attack was slow, we were too side to side and our execution was off, giving up key errors.
We then turned it on for 7.5 mins against 12 men before failing once again to handle a short kick off with 4.5 mins left, then we conceded a penalty and the lead.
We then got within striking distance and insisted on running around with our heads cut off for 20 seconds instead on moving it back to the posts and setting up for the field goal, or as the play turned out instead of continuing the movement to the right where we had an overlap we came back inside.
Our defense was solid enough.
But we went back to doing the things that have prevented us from scoring points this year for all bar 7.5 mins of the match.
That is reality.

brooks should of kicked it there was no one back there i think we score

I think this is the 4th game this year where we've won on the stats, by some margins too and yet still lost...........need more polish in the halves.

It's just all too frustrating at the moment seeing the forwards put in a lot of work with not much to show on the scoreboard.

It's like the team goes into it's shell in the opposition 20 and just has no clue for the most part.

That is a fair recount on what happened, although quite pessimistic. The other side is the ref and video peanut allowed a blatant push in the back on brooks to go unpunished, that led to a try. I believe a shoulder in the back of tupou as he was taking a bomb without looking at the ball once, that led to a try (no difference to the Walsh incident the other nite).
Not to mention 8 continual ruck infringements on their line that only gave them a sinbin late in the game! Which was an obvious tactic to stop our roll on. And the fact that we won every single stat in the game except kick meters. The fact thet every try they scored came off kicks, with a strong element of luck involved! I think that is the reality, of a team coming off a wooden spooners we did pretty good. Could we do better, sure but again remember they had won 6 from the last 7 games.

How is it that the peanut gallery saying that all their try’s off kicks, weren’t about luck but effort plays. So they deserved their points, yet when they get sin binned for continuously infringing the rules at the ruck. Yet all our try’s are lucky based because of this?? How about we made our own luck due to forcing them to be in the sinbin?
