limit would be 750k for brooks I would think. What's the limit though, if he wants over a million a year do you still sign him. Where do you draw the line on his value Jedi.

exactly 650k fir Flanagan clubs would take Brooks for 700k or 750k any day of the week over FlanaganYou'd probably have to pay $650 or so for Flannagan. Good halves don't come cheap!
Brooks could have signed with the Knights for season 24 when they came knocking, then either agitated for an early release, or just played this year with us and moved next yearWell then, we've got really short memories. We at least know the Knights came knocking.
He is only still here because of his love for the Tigers and Benji/Sheens reigniting that
if you check I have said weeks ago we are after Koula got told that from someone close to Fulton. Will see how that plays out but as yet 6 weeks from being offered an extension with manly koula hasn't taken it up.100% - if people are just regurgitating a twitter rumour they should attribute the source instead of framing it as though it is their own personal inside info!!
Yep, little Luke is playing for a new contract now thats why he is playing better he has been resting on his contracts for a few years now.I can't stand Brooks' play the last few years and 'am probably one his biggest 'haters' on here, but over this recent month/month and a half, he's gone complete 180 on his atrocious form over the first 6 weeks, maybe that coincides with the form of a few other guys around him but definitely keen to see how he goes the rest of the season. I just wish he would bring the grubber kick to his play more because whenever I see him use it, usually is to good effect and a far more effective end to the set as opposed to a coinflip bomb to the winger..
Who cares, some of Sheens decisions over the years caused us a tonne of griefYou'd expect Sheens is not happy with this.
I agree.Halves are not a generic homogeneous commodity to which you can slap on an average market price!!
And you are ignoring the shortage of quality halves in the current market creates an inflationary premium for those positions (which is compounded by desperation and ambition of struggling clubs trying to turn a corner)!
$700K is massive unders for any proven NRL quality half/five-eighth in 2023/24!!
Yeah..... Of course he is....Yep, little Luke is playing for a new contract now thats why he is playing better he has been resting on his contracts for a few years now.
I agree.
Brooks will attract interest outside this club.
Our reported offer, if it is accurate, is almost humiliating for an entrenched half with 200 games experience.
If he thinks that then we are in trouble. Should get paid for hitting KPIs.I can't see Brooks manager agreeing to anything less than 700k. Given the lack of halves available to replace him and Sheens desire to keep him he now finds himself in a great bargaining position.
I'm pretty sure he was a real estate agent for a few years prior to joining us.He wasn't out of the game for ages, he has been at a few clubs recently, I think Canterbury and maybe Parra, but I agree, why bring him back, one of Sheens job for the boys signing
He was at Canterbury from November 2016 until May 2019I'm pretty sure he was a real estate agent for a few years prior to joining us.
Not Wests Tigers, but Dylan Brown stood down until his court case under the no fault stand down policy, which will mean a minimum 3 weeks, suck it hard Parra, hopefully karma is just starting to bite
I wonder if they'd contemplate taking Daine Laurie on full freight before 30 June if they have any top 30 spots available? Not Wests Tigers, but Dylan Brown stood down until his court case under the no fault stand down policy, which will mean a minimum 3 weeks, suck it hard Parra, hopefully karma is just starting to bite

send Laurie to Parramatta paying full freight and then use the balance of Laurie's salary to front load Brooks 2024 dealI wonder if they'd contemplate taking Daine Laurie on full freight before 30 June if they have any top 30 spots available?
Well he goes court to court before June 30, so maybe they might look at it if he gets another adjournment or a conviction.I wonder if they'd contemplate taking Daine Laurie on full freight before 30 June if they have any top 30 spots available?
