A very good winger is easier to find than a really good halfback. There’s not many wingers on a mil a year.A good winger is a very valuable asset and definitely worth more than Brooks.

I don't think Schuster is worth half that $$..has no consistency.Big worry is Fulton wants Schuster. His manager asked for 1.2 mil a season. I hope were not stupid enough to sign the bloke on current form, not even if he's paying us to play for us.
It’s not the same club it was back then…HAHA The Pascoe blame game on repeat. How’d we go with Latrell and JAC and a plethora of other guns. There’s one bad smell at Wests. He’s the one who needs to piss off.
Agree. …and?A very good winger is easier to find than a really good halfback. There’s not many wingers on a mil a year.
with all respect, your the master at it B5Amateur hour on repeat 🤡
So using that logic an average to below average half is worth more than an above average winger. Brooks is worth more than 500kAgree. …and?
lol hahaA good winger is a very valuable asset and definitely worth more than Brooks.
Poor mans Glen Stewart / Wade Granam. until he can stick 25 plus tackles.I don't think Schuster is worth half that $$..has no consistency.
Looks more like a secondrower with a few no look passes that rarely come off
The difference is we are actually starting to see players improve and young players coming in and thrivingMadge - 3 and 9
Sheens - 3 and 9
Hysteria levels after a couple of wins are hilarious
2 more wins and its a better year,The difference is we are actually starting to see players improve and young players coming in and thriving
Shifty…not shonkyIt is a nickname that he has had for 30+ years and goes back to his days at the raiders.
But have we truly paid overs in recent years, or just paid what was owed him for taking unders in earlier years?I’m a Brooks fan, but in light of us paying him big overs in recent years and fact he’s not getting any younger, we could not possibly pay him anymore than 600 per season and if he’s a decent bloke, he shouldn’t expect it either.
As for Schuster, I’m far from convinced he’s a NRL standard 5/8. He would be by far the slowest 5/8 in the NRL and his kicking game is atrocious.
Blore is a must keep, he’s one of the best forwards not currently a regular part of an NRL top 17.

Not getting any younger, he is far from old. In fact he is at what should be his peak age. If were valuing him on age this should be his highest valued contract.
No idea what his expectations are but not sure how the club could expect him to take less than 600k.

Wakeham would look like the Fox in comparison to SchusterI’m a Brooks fan, but in light of us paying him big overs in recent years and fact he’s not getting any younger, we could not possibly pay him anymore than 600 per season and if he’s a decent bloke, he shouldn’t expect it either.

Agreed, we might think it’s stupid money, but that is the sort money you need to pay to get a middle of the road no7 or 6 under the current salary capWT or any other potential suitors will be paying $700k plus, and I think it silly to think otherwise with the new salary cap level.
That’s for sure and Wakeham is far too slow for an NRL 5/8.Wakeham would look like the Fox in comparison to Schuster
I think the difference is we have seen about 8 weeks of consistent good football from the team we not always be getting the win but over time if we continue to improve the wins will comeYes. But were we not singing the praises of Laurie and Hastings etc after back to back wins over top four clubs in 2022? This happens a lot at our club, we see some green shoots but again we backed up a famous win with another disappointing home loss. For all the positives we currently don’t have a halfback or five eighth for next year. That’s the challenge that looms large.
