No need to get over the hill players like Sezer and Pearce....i have said this all along and now would be the perfect time to get Connor Tracey. Just a natural footballer who you can build the team around.
With Brooks going, we should also make a big push for Braydon Trindall. These 2 guys would transform our team and you would have cash spare.
Players I would recruit to fill our problem areas which solve alot and wont break the bank.

We need to go hard for two young superstars in lower grades and offer them stupid money… like if they’re worth $200k we offer them $500k.
If we pick up two guns like dolphins did with their half … then we’ll be fine.
Sign two year deals… if they’re killing it after first year, extend for another 3.
If they’re not … cut them and move then on.

I swear people only watch our games and grade players based on how well they played against us x amount of years ago.
I believe the halves pairing of Sezer x Austin is currently running 8th out of 12 in the super league and Leeds are looking to move them on. These are same people who will pile on Brodie Croft having no idea that he is the reigning man of steel in the super league and will also preach to stay away from Pearce.
Edit for clarity - I am not saying target Brodie Croft or Pearce.. I am saying go after Dodd or Williams or stay away from ESL completely
Brodie Croft is essentially a Luke Brooks clone
He was available to sign another contract from Nov 1 2018. He was playing for his next contract. The moment he signed on the dotted line he played absolutely trash until about 6 weeks ago when he realised that he was out of contractEXACTLY!!

Maybe there is a bit more bite to the mail that @tigerap or maybe @tigerballs mentioned the other day Fainu and Sanders we are going hard at them both. Brooks may end up at either one of those clubs or he knew what was in the pipeline who knows what’s going on there.

May not be gone forever, but if things go bad it's possible that it could possibly kill his NRL career for a while.
De Belin wasn't able to play in the NRL for a couple of seasons, although he was still allowed to train with St.George.
Fat Bludge was also out of the NRL for a couple of seasons after he was sacked by us and didn't play again in the NRL until signed by the Broncos, not exactly sure what his playing situation was while he was out of the NRL without doing a bit of digging around.
Similarly Zane Musgrove was a season out of the game while he was with us due to charges similar to that of Dylan Brown.

6. Bailey Black. No idea what his contract situation is, but wont break into Storm's first grade side any time soon.
7. Tom Weaver. If Titans won't release him could then ask for Sexton.
But no matter how good they might be, im not real confident a rookie 1, 6 and 7 would be successful.

Brooks to dogs would not surprise me at all , Old Gus will talk any shit to get him there , they also need a good foil for Burton , could work well given a crack , Tigers need to go all out on Hunt or similar , break a contract it happens all,the time , enough cash will make a change
