Luke Brooks #167

You are joking right?! Haha 😂

If we caught the short kick off we are talking about him leading a perfect 12 minute 19 point come back victory.

Bloody hell that’s a shit take.

That’s the issue here - he’s actually not joking…
No mention of our most experience player ducking out from dummy half, running the wrong way and getting caught with the ball - stuffing up the 2 following plays

Some mainstream media bible - what does it actually mean????? I really don't know....... gossip maybe?????

2. Luke Brooks shocked Tigers officials by saying he will not be taking up the contract offer on offer. I'd argue Brooks made the decision the club should have made two seasons ago by proclaiming that it is time to move on. For the past two off seasons Brooks has been trying to facilitate a move to Newcastle only to be shut down. This was an obvious and correct decision. The Brooks/Tigers split is best for everyone involved.

3. Sticking with the Tigers - I'd be absolutely shocked if they are not discussing the name of Braydon Trindall. Trindall is a cheat code in NSW Cup and is stuck behind the woefully out of form Matt Moylan. With Craig Fitzgibbon seemingly unable to make the obvious call, Trindall's future may lay elsewhere. He would instantly improve the Tigers and would not break the bank. Watch this space if Trindall is overlooked this weekend.

Halves needs

Penrith - none
Brisbane - will soon be looking for a Adam Reynolds replacement
Melbourne - none
Souths - Jury out on Illias in finals
Cronulla - Moylan out of form and likely to be replaced, jury out on Trindall
Warriors - none until SJ is done
Canberra - need a five eighth
Manly - none if they re-sign Schuster
Parra - cloud over Brown
Gold Coast - in the market
Dolphins - young halves that look fairly settled, may consider an upgrade to elite
Roosters - in the market with Pearce rumoured
Knights - in the market with current crop inconsistent
NQ - Rumoured to be shopping halves
Bulldogs - can’t lock down a partner for Burton, do have a young gun on the books
Tigers - no answer at all
Stgeorge- Stocks ok with youth and experience, unless Hunt leaves.

You can see why Brooks will test the market.
You can scratch Bulldogs, Dragons and Parramatta. Look at me ..... as if I know.

Moses is and has always been the better player, and it's not even close

It hurts to read that but its so true, we had Brooks Pidgeon holed as a 7 when hes really a 6 and vice versa for Moses. Moses was arrogant back then had more belief in his own ability and could carry that weight on his shoulders. This all stems from the poor choices back then, lets not forget Brooks being labelled the next Joey how can you carry that can at that age.

Gus sums it up well.
Same Gus that reckoned Maguire's a good coach but didn't want him at the Bulldogs?
Now he can sign Brooks, but there's more chance of me becoming an astronaut.
If Gould's lips are moving.......you know the rest.

He’s a more dominant playmaker hands down. In catch-pass-run skills it’s probably pretty close.
Moses is a natural footballer, he has a brain. Brooks needs to visit the wizard of Qz.
Moses has a much better kicking game, running game , passing game, game management, game awareness.
There isn't one aspect of playing half that Brooks should ever be mentioned in the same breath as Moses.

Just read this on another forum, clarifying LB salary over the past 4 years:

"......Luke Brooks, for all the misinformed and judgemental, Luke is not on 1.1 million, Luke signed a 4 year contract extension at 750k a season, mismanagement by the club, back ended his contract, meaning that he was paid less for the first 3 years and the financial discrepancy would be paid out in full on the final year of the contract."

Don’t mind him going, hope the club has a back up plan cause what we have isn’t doing it for me
No they don’t….come on man, when do they ever think things through?
They tried to be cute and lowball him, he has told them to root their boots and now they are frantically speaking to anyone who’ll take their calls.

Oh I don't think that is true for the initial 1-2 seasons. Since he left Tigers - yes. Moses was an absolute turnstyle at the start; Brooks had the same problem, but Brooks started to become a fairly effective defender and Moses took ages to stop being a speed hump.

Moses also had a poor temperament at the start, lots of showy plays and an inability to settle into a match. My opinion is Moses had to mature a lot to become a better footballer, whereas Brooks was always a pretty cool head, it just turns out that Brooks is too cool too often.

While getting paid close to 800k, Moses took a top 4 side to the spoon in his second season at Parra....
Facts often overlooked here.
