Does anyone think it's strange that we have not heard from Benji for months now.. At the beginning of the year he was everywhere in media but nothing now and I understand he wants to just get into his role. But I think him talking to media about club direction etc.. it would help keep the scum media away and paint us in a better light.

I think it's great Benji isn't in the media. He is taking this seriously, and not doing interviews etc shows it IMO. I have no doubt he is getting calls from media non stop, but he has gone to ground focusing on his job. Love it.

I agree but the current bullshit that the media are going on about him been pissed off and wants to leave, it would be a great shut down if the man himself shuts it down as this shit surely does not help with recruitment weather its true or not.
 
🙏Thank you to all that reached out with their condolences for the recent loss of my father, as it again shows the depth and camaraderie of the vast majority of this community, which did similarly so when we lost our daughter last year.

I was lucky to be very close with him for my 57 of his 89 years. Despite showing me love all those years, being from a different era, I was so happy that he finally verbalised it in the hours before his passing, even though it was hard to understand as he struggled.

Please tell those close that you love them at every opportunity.
 
First the media bang on the Tigers are stupid for paying Brooks so much because he has never performed and we are paying only on potential.
Now he has left its this.
There is a deadset media agenda against us ever since Marina Go became our chair. Don't get me wrong our board, ceo and inspector gadget don't make it hard for them. But none the less the agenda is plain as day imo.

Absolutely spot on! The language, tone and descriptions used in the article are appalling and have been so in much of the mainstream media reporting of Wests Tigers for a long time now.

Latu Fainu was highest paid teenager in the NRL at the age of 16 .. and he hadn’t played a NRL game .. it seems so funny for Manly to allow him to have talks with other teams .. then for Manly to sign Jacob Arthur .. then sign Luke Brooks to a long deal is nuts .. !! The only thing I can work out is if he stays at Manly next season they have to promote him to their top 30 player in NRL and there up their payment for him .. !! So what is this kid currently on .. ?? and how much will we have to pay for an untried NRL player .. if we do sign him .. ??

We won’t find out anything till Benji comes into work tomorrow morning .. 🤫
 
Just read an article on Wests Tigers News about possibly resurrecting Michael Morgan ex Cowboys. Now 31 yo and not played for 2 seasons ( medically retired).
Real left field stuff for me, had all but forgotten about him . SOO player, any thoughts ??

Was thinking the exact same thing recently.

It was a worry of mine before we got involved in coaching, especially with his ties with the media.

As you say, and absolute reflection on how serious he is taking his role.
