Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Trindall has always looked like an out and out 7, not a 6, and has around 50 games now, never looking out of place. We know our maligned 7, who was really a running 6, is worth around 700k in this market. That means Trindall as an actual 7 is worth at least that and I don't understand how a guy in Reggie's could knock us back if we were serious and made a big play. We should have looked at him before drongo has beens like Pearce or slimey farts who stained the club.

Of course he could flop here, but peak Andrew John's could have too!
I think trying to convince Sharks to release him might be the difficult part.

You are completely wrong i certainly do not hate Sheens, never have and never will but unlike you i can see his faults. You keep on thinking he is doing a good job if it makes you feel better but many people on here are realising that we got it wrong yet again.
Beg to differ, have a look at your last 10 posts as an example of your death riding of Sheens, it’s pretty plain to see.
We have recruited well and have shown a resolve that I have not seen for a decade. I see his faults and do not agree with all his team selections but compared to the decade of imposters he’s a genius! No one would have bought Bula through like he has, and recognised that brooks is really a running half and actively tried to sign a controlling half. He’s on the right track we have just had so many imposters over the last decade at the helm that we stink to players for recruitment.

What is mind boggling is why we didn't have these discussions with Sanders, Trindall, Cogger, Pezet after the first 8 weeks, why have we waited so long, blind Freddy could see the team had no attacking direction or onfield leadership. I couldn't see any of their respective clubs complaining if we talk to their 2nd or 3rd string halves. Couldn't our coaches see that Brooks wasn't the answer, our pack are generally eating through the metres and we are totally impotent in attack. Wtf were they waiting for.
Because they were trying to sign Moses, we’re u in a coma or something during this time?

You are entitled to your opinion but we agree to disagree.Imho Sheens is well past his use by date and and should never have been reappointed to our coaching position. and the results he is bringing clearly show he is at least a decade behind the modern game.
At the moment we are wasting the efforts of a "decent" pack of forwards which is the first we have had since Ellis left.As people have continually claimed "It is a results driven business" and our results are abysmal and we have never looked worse.
I would love to see us win this weekend but my expectations are very low.

No its not just you
The NRL won't persist with 17 teams for long .They would prefer one less Sydney team and two more from elsewhere. eg Qld ,Png ,Pacifica ,Central Coast and God I hope not Perth who don't follow NRL
The prime candidate would be who is stringing a few spoons together and is generally regarded as a basket case . The man at the helm of the Wests Tigers should take note and take responsibility .
Well the Dogs had a few spoons in a row, the biggest basket case at the moment is St George and its going to take a while for them to get back into being competitive again.

.
Not sure about TMM, I think we would be better placed hanging on to Laurie and think he can do the same things.

Still hold hope that the Sharks believe Hynes and Trindall are both out and out 7s and might not consider them as a halves pairing.
I guess we will wait an see how things play out.

Depending on who we get I also agree that Wakeham would be fine as the 3rd or even 4th option (on a NSW cup contract).
Agree with all of this, Boyd should be the target not Sexton.
100% agree.

The dragons are in a terrible mess but they have won more games than we have this year.Unfortunately i can see nobody else "challenging" us for the dreaded wooden spoon. The day we play them will probably decide who runs last this year. Both clubs have poor management but we have a better squad imo but we are massively underperforming so it is not a guaranteed win like it should be

I really hope you are right about Dragons trumping us in the basket case race .I worry its a close race . Interesting its the two NRL imposed Joint Ventures at the bottom

The licence is perpetual, literally can't take it off us unless we go broke and that isn't going to happen !

Funny they didn't get rid of Newcastle when they got 3 spoons or the dogs or Broncos who all have got spoons recently !

Dunno about Bleak City having better coffee BigSiro....my favorite Vittoria Oro Special Bar Coffee can be purchased anywhere.
But I get it delivered direct from Vittoria freshly roasted and at a great price, then grind it myself in a Smeg grinder.
I just love the smell of fresh ground coffee in the morning 🙂.
Not as good as napalm in the morning.

Plus with the council and govt investment in the centres of excellence how will they justify it.
Oh believe me. State and Local governments often Pour funds into sporting grounds to have them Abandoned or unused.

The only difference is Balmain isn't marginal. So the Centre of excellence would be left to rot instead of getting upgraded.

The NRL is gunning against us. They have been gunning against the merger teams since day 1.
