The classic for me was when the board had a premature news flash that Brooks was ‘dropped from the team this weekend.’
They forgot to tell Brooks, who was left to front the media.
The coaches have done all they can, but fighting a losing battle with their bosses wanting to constantly prove they are in charge.

He's basically saying they're not going to be first choice and it depends who they can get in as first choice and how much that costs

Brooks played for a contract and received market rate at Manly over 4 years.

I posted that Sheens interview. His position on Brooks is well-known. We need an NRL quality half, a very good one. Austin, Sezer, Cogger, etc won't cut it. Time for our benefactors to pool resources and buy out the contract of George Williams.

Yet Melbourne have their “coffee test” where they have to meet every player to assess their character before offering contracts and somehow it doesn’t stop them.

Once you’re introduced to the Storm culture it probably would do a lot to sway you. Plus, Melbourne has better coffee. 😆

No its not just you
The NRL won't persist with 17 teams for long .They would prefer one less Sydney team and two more from elsewhere. eg Qld ,Png ,Pacifica ,Central Coast and God I hope not Perth who don't follow NRL
The prime candidate would be who is stringing a few spoons together and is generally regarded as a basket case . The man at the helm of the Wests Tigers should take note and take responsibility .

I think he was more saying they’ve got to earn it. If they play well, something will happen.
