Beg to differ, have a look at your last 10 posts as an example of your death riding of Sheens, it’s pretty plain to see.
We have recruited well and have shown a resolve that I have not seen for a decade. I see his faults and do not agree with all his team selections but compared to the decade of imposters he’s a genius! No one would have bought Bula through like he has, and recognised that brooks is really a running half and actively tried to sign a controlling half. He’s on the right track we have just had so many imposters over the last decade at the helm that we stink to players for recruitment.
Well the Dogs had a few spoons in a row, the biggest basket case at the moment is St George and its going to take a while for them to get back into being competitive again. No its not just you
The NRL won't persist with 17 teams for long .They would prefer one less Sydney team and two more from elsewhere. eg Qld ,Png ,Pacifica ,Central Coast and God I hope not Perth who don't follow NRL
The prime candidate would be who is stringing a few spoons together and is generally regarded as a basket case . The man at the helm of the Wests Tigers should take note and take responsibility .
Agree with all of this, Boyd should be the target not Sexton..
Not sure about TMM, I think we would be better placed hanging on to Laurie and think he can do the same things.
Still hold hope that the Sharks believe Hynes and Trindall are both out and out 7s and might not consider them as a halves pairing.
I guess we will wait an see how things play out.
Depending on who we get I also agree that Wakeham would be fine as the 3rd or even 4th option (on a NSW cup contract).
He's not my 1st choice but I'm picking him in front of Sexton easy. Not sold on Tannah Boyd. He was dropped a lot
last year and is a bit of a Brooks 2.0. We def
need halves + cover though, not against it

Looks like a Cedar tree, are we about to raid the Lebanese team? What tree 🌲 are you shaking?
I really hope you are right about Dragons trumping us in the basket case race .I worry its a close race . Interesting its the two NRL imposed Joint Ventures at the bottomWell the Dogs had a few spoons in a row, the biggest basket case at the moment is St George and its going to take a while for them to get back into being competitive again.
The licence is perpetual, literally can't take it off us unless we go broke and that isn't going to happen !No its not just you

Well both merger teams have won comps in the last 20 years, Parra not in nearly 40 ! No version of the gold coast ever and the warriors have never won a comp either !I really hope you are right about Dragons trumping us in the basket case race .I worry its a close race . Offer Simpkin as a swap for Walker.I think a club like the Roosters would find more value in Simpkin. If only there was a player in their squad on the outer to look at...
Sorry just assumed the common sense thing to do would be to speak to multiple people at once incase the guy who shafted us last time was using us as a bargaining tool. Or were you in a coma when Moses left.Because they were trying to sign Moses, we’re u in a coma or something during this time?
Plus with the council and govt investment in the centres of excellence how will they justify it.The licence is perpetual, literally can't take it off us unless we go broke and that isn't going to happen !
Funny they didn't get rid of Newcastle when they got 3 spoons or the dogs or Broncos who all have got spoons recently !
Oh believe me. State and Local governments often Pour funds into sporting grounds to have them Abandoned or unused.Plus with the council and govt investment in the centres of excellence how will they justify it.
Might be a good backup 1/2 if titans throw in at least 150,000Titans' Toby Sexton has reportedly been told he is free to negotiate with Sydney clubs. DT
I have to say I am also a fan of T Boyd at the Titans. I think he is a real player, and whilst a steady 1/2- 5/8- Hooker what a handy player for any club to have in your top 17 each week! And he is a fair Goal Kicker. Good observation Bathursttiger (IMO).Agree with all of this, Boyd should be the target not Sexton.
100% agree.
BENJI WON’T WALK AWAY FROM TIGERS
Benji Marshall has put an emphatic end to any suggestion he is ready to walk away from the Wests Tigers over creative differences with recruitment boss Scott Fulton.
Marshall, earmarked to become the Tigers head coach when Tim Sheens stands aside at the end of next year, has reportedly been at loggerheads with Fulton in recent weeks over some key recruitment calls.
It prompted speculation at the weekend that Marshall was ready to walk away from the club because he and Fulton were at odds.
Tigers chair Lee Hagipantelis revealed chief executive Justin Pascoe was concerned enough to clarify the situation with Marshall. Now Marshall has chimed in, telling Sport Con he has no plans to walk away from the club and remains committed to taking over the head coaching duties in 2025.
“I love my job as an assistant coach and I’m looking forward to learning more off Tim this year and in 2024 and excited to become the head coach in 2025 and I’m not walking out anywhere,” Marshall said. “That’s the end of it!”
Marshall has kept a low profile since giving up his job in the media to pursue his dream of becoming an NRL coach.
The fact he has now publicly refuted rumours he may walk away should put an end to any suggestion he is having second thoughts over his career choice.
The rumour mill has been in overdrive ever since club powerbrokers poached Fulton from Manly without consulting Marshall or Sheens, his appointment ultimately coming at the cost of former recruitment boss Warren McDonnell.
There have also been ongoing reports that Fulton and the coaches have been at odds over key recruitment targets, among them Manly’s Josh Schuster and Newcastle back rower Tyson Frizell.
Marshall was also desperate to keep Luke Brooks and it has been suggested the club had to be convinced to make their halfback an offer. Brooks rejected the deal and instead has signed a long-term contract with Manly, who he will join next season.
“When Lee Hagipantelis went out and got a head of recruitment for his club and didn’t consult Tim Sheens or Benji Marshall, the coach and the future coach of the club, did he not think that this was a possibility?” former Tigers star Braith Anasta told NRL360.
“To not consult those two people who run the club and who set the standards. They know what players they want and they know why they want them.
“They are looking ahead. Benji is trying to build this club for the future. Benji is passionate about the joint. He loves the joint. He is trying to build this club.
“They hire a head of recruitment without talking to him and then expect it all to just be beautiful, sunshine and rainbows. I just don’t understand.” (DT)
