I think as a Chairman he's been very poor. He hasn't presented the Club or the Board in a good way. Before he came in we were losers on the Field, now we seem to be doing better with $$ (but so is every club TBH) but the public perception even putting the losses aside is poorer.

The whole Aloiai thing, Cowboys loss, the Tommy memorial, appointing McDonnel then firing him and then cherry on top is hiring Sheens to coach and committing to this stupid 5 year plan is a joke.

ok I think Lee has turned the $$ side around and seems to be improving some things. Yes too i wish he would STFU sometimes.

But lets be honest:
Alolai, hey Manly offer overs. He jumps ship. Meh.

Also, you can't lament the whole "sheens 5 years" which I agree is a joke and I almost quit this club. Then say "hey why dinn't he stick with McDonnell?". The one thing I respect the board for doing is going "hey your 17th. Were getting different people in to fix this mess". The board has every right to push hard on Sheens for not delivering and since were looking at straight spoons I have no qualms with firing Sheens at the end of the year.

Fulton will not just open doors to players. I can see us tap assistant coaches and hopefully a wressle coach.

You don't get to pick your own people when your 17th.

He is easy to dislike but that is meaningless in the corporate world - plenty of pricks and DHs who are good in business (in fact sometimes it's a prerequisite).

My opinion is that I don't really have an opinion on Lee, because I've not met the man. The people that I do know who have met him say he's a passionate and intelligent Tigers supporter, so that must count for something. I have no idea whether he's effective at his job. I do wish he would not make so many statements.

I'll also float that Lee H became Chair only in Nov 2019 and the Tigers rot set in some 7 years prior to that.

But, in almost 4 years as Chair, he hasn't been able to attain anything resembling onfield success.

We have the same spending as the top clubs with bad results can't just blame all on Lee based on his likeability on media appearances

We gotta do what we can to get John Coates onto the board of WT asap.
But some would say if he is over 70 [and he probably is by a couple of years at least] he's an old fossil and past it.
Roy Masters on our Board would be exceptional also, but he's living in Vict now, damn it.

I have worked under Coates a while ago. He knows how to win & will be ruthless with others if they don't share the same vision of success.

Assuming he's interested of course.
What a great coup that would be.
Then as you have already worked under Mr. Coates, you two would be a great tag team on the Board.

Lee is an absolute bonehead.

He has created problems among the playing group previously when there didn't need to be any. What chair with half a brain goes public and says a very popular club man will be mowing lawns?

Now he has created problems among the coaching group by hand picking a key staff member with no say from the coaching team. If my boss did that I'd be ropable. I can guarantee this is the club's equivalent of letting a jar of termites loose in your house.

The bloke is one of those rare breeds that are less than useless. He's a ticking timebomb.

He has to go.

even in those three years ( that they made the finals) they were crap until half way through the season and then went on a run home where they put some wins together… they have never been a consistent Top 4 team throughout any season
