Naden too unreliable. Got all the attributes but lacks the most important one - consistency.

Been his story for 10yrs.
Over rated on here because we live in hope.
Naden is the perfect Wests Tigers player fit based on how our club operates.

Here’s a 1/2 back out of the blue , drinkwaters brother have watched him playing in England , he has pushed Williams to 5/8 , I remember him playing here in nsw cup he was a very good player , we were on top of the pile untill he left , think he would be worth a shit would not cost a lot

So we are in a similar position with Sheens to before our 05 success. We could only recruit players with ability if they were returning from major injury (Scott Prince & Pat Richards) or solid experienced players who Sheens felt were good for culture & could find their potential at the Tigers (Hodgson, Whatuira, Elford).

I’m wondering whether players with similar experience who have a point to prove & yet to hit their peak may be our target.

Three can think of off the top of my head are Lachlan Lam, Connor Tracey & Blake Taafe.

Any others that fit the profile?

I like Lam, his father would also work as the extra spoke of our coaching foursome that seems to be the way we are heading into the future.

But here is something ive noticed, when we kick off in last Saturday nights game, every kick went to the same place,
NQL RIGHT WING

I only remember our kicker kicking to the same place every time.

To NQL right wing, I do not recollect us changing our kick off once, so if what I viewed was right, we had 14 kick offs and every one of them was the same kick to the same place

What ever happened to changing your kickoffs,
Like an occasional short one, like putting ball on ground on its belly and drilling it straight at an opposition player along the ground to try and force an error, ????

It’s been said before, but maybe the NRL want a couple of Sydney teams to roll over and die, so they can spread the game to geographical better time slots. Although that will not improve the talent pool

It will eventually. If they had of kept perth and Adelaide in the comp you'd have thousands more juniors playing the game. Not just continually drawing from the same 2 states.

The population of regional Queensland alone is double the population of Adelaide.

Tassie is coming soon ? But the AFL is more out of wack then the NRL there bottom teams are in a far worse way then the NRL bottom teams for talent

No different to us doing short drop outs that we never successfully compete for or putting up bombs with no kick chase.

Just cannot understand if this is poor coaching, lack of fitness, lack of ability or just plain old lack of brains and I think that we all would have to agree that we are definitely not a smart team.

saturday was atrocious. no other way to look at it. 9 tries down the right edge points to where the issue is. Nofoaluma is being shopped, Wakeham is a park footballer and Papali'i has been shifted from the right to the left which has resulted in a complete lack of cohesion.

it's time for Bateman to move back to the right, with iPap to the left and Blore to the bench. if Matamua or Laulili'i aren't ready then go to market. Morgan Smithies would be ideal. tackles his ass off. if not look at Nathan Brown or Connor Watson.

Naden can move to NSW Cup. Paul Momirovski is a great option that would be available and ensures Feledy isn't blooded early. Tupou is in a slump but he's young and will get out of it. Latu is the ideal target to play 6, and while he'll have his deficiencies defensively, he'll create plenty of points. Trindall would be nice, but I'm unsure if he's the ideal option given the lack of experience in the spine sans Api. Mitchell Pearce makes sense. throw him the keys.

the middles have been up for every week barring a few games, including Saturday. happy to leave them as is but again, Bateman needs to go back to marshalling the right edge.

if we bring in some experienced types similar to Pearce, Momirovski, Brown and Watson then it ensures that we aren't blooding Galvin, Feledy, the Laulili'i's and Fa'agutu into a side that is going to get belted from pillar to post every week. at this point, with the cap space we have, we need to recruit smartly with the future in mind. if we don't then this is going to continue for longer than any of us initially planned for.

It's only been 12 years of waiting I think I can do one more then I will have a rethink

Promising Wests Tigers junior Lachlan Galvin has confirmed that he will go into the Top 30 squad for the club as of next season.

The Campbelltown product is coming off an amazing performance at Australian Secondary Schools Rugby League Nationals for the NSW Combined High Schools.

He led them to a 24-6 win over rivals NSW Combined Independent School, illustrating his attacking prowess, self-proclaiming he modelled his game on Melbourne Storm superstar Cameron Munster.

The performance should excite Tigers fans, who will lose Luke Brooks at the end of the season.

Galvin's height is a major advantage to his style of play, but he also has a great kicking game and incredible IQ- with the ball in his hands and without it.

Lacking a recognised halfback for next season, Galvin confirmed he will be added to the Top 30 squad and will likely be the club's long-term halfback.

“I am loving it (at the Tigers),” Galvin said via News Corp.

“I got there last year and I am loving it.

“I just want to focus on my footy, train hard. I go into the Top 30 next year.

“When I got there I looked up to the NRL boys. Wayne Lambkin was the coach at Westfield and he's the reserve grade coach there now and he's really helped me and my footy.”

The former Parramatta Eels junior wasn't the only future Tigers player to impress during the competition, with winger Luke Laulilii scoring a double.

The duo have played with one another for a number of years at Westfields Sports High School and are set to play many more games together in the future- hopefully in the orange and black colours.

“In the Harold Mathews Cup, he (Laulilii) was fullback and we worked really well together,” Galvin said.

“It's good to play with him he's very fast. I just have to find him, he gives me a lot of room and he follows me.”

I just watched Sheens presser again and an interesting comment jumped out, “we are not happy as a group”

And in discussing Luke Brooks a few weeks ago, “Luke just needs to be happy to play his best footy”

Maybe when leaders consistently apportion all blame to their football department they don’t get the efforts they would if they turned and looked in the mirror for once.

I think this is the kid who they say is very smart between the ears and is a effort player but wins games with footy smarts not so much natural talent

A complete lack of ability is the reason we keep things very basic
