You’re likely not far wrong, there’s plenty of evidence players aren’t all in and they get out when they can.
So those very guys who didn’t want to be here or would rather be elsewhere just need to win and all will be fixed. Simples.
If we take a step back, shouldn’t we really address the environment that exists which prevents us attracting players? I’ve personally been told by Tigers players that this club treats its players poorly. We hear about additional resources going into the football department, that all sounds like corporate speak to me. Do we treat players as well as the other clubs?
Telling a playing group who wound up in an environment they didn’t want to be in to “just win” is not a realistic solution.
Having an independent review of the culture might be a start.
