Is Holbrook a good recruiter or is it the Gold Coast lifestyle that attracts players?

Other clubs are signing their back up halves while we're still for a first choice halves combo.

I agree, we should be looking at Townsend, while continuing to chase Fainu, Sanders, Volkman, Trindall etc.

Surely someone will be silly enough to sign with us.

Uncle Nick has been doing it for years!! All the journalists know but dont have concrete evidence. Its funny how laundy may have told buzz about his cheating. Who is to say if it is true they didnt do it with Kikau, mahoney, crighton and any other player they have tried to sign.

Replacing the coach ? How many times the Admin will deflect blame by just changing the coach .We are going down the road every year and the road leads to nowhere
To Justin Pascoe " its the roster " its the lack of recruitment which makes the roster worse ! And its the image of the Wests Tigers which is seen as fractured and disjointed that's makes the roster so poor .
You can't change a coach and give him a lousy roster and say turn them into a winning machine . Won't happen ! Doesn't matter who the coach is !
The packs ok albeit lacking a little depth but the backline is NOT .
At this stage you have imo quality in Bula and Toa
Maybe if 100% fit Nofo and Naden might be serviceable but that's it! You can't win games with a couple of Nrl standard backs
 
Justin Holbrook is a good coach, a likeable guy and a good football mind but I can say with 200% certainty that he will offer nothing more than Tim Sheens.

I'm not any kind of club insider but let's just say that I've seen both in action and for what it's worth, I think both are very good.

It's time for the CEO and Chair to walk. They've played grubby games all year to save their backsides and get Sheens / Benji to quit.

As fans we deserve a hell of a lot better.

Forwards good, backline serviceable, halves crap. Maybe we need to recruit a coach / assistant coach that can guarantee they bring a serviceable halves pairing with them for 24?
 
With all this talk of us trying to lure Holbrook really has me wondering how long our board can remain. We have been through coach after coach and all for the same results if not worse!! Us looking at Holbrook is just another smoke screen for the board to remain. Winning starts at the front office and our front office don’t know how to win and it just relays down the ranks. Until our board are removed and replaced we will always be the same old tigers in my opinion. Holbrook won’t change a thing just like sheens won’t until mass changes are made
 
It seems the old one step forward and 3 backwards. Every year it is the same, in fighting and sniping. When will they ever ever learn and what will it take. I thought when we got the spoon that would act as the catalyst for change, but no we have gone backwards.

I thought the Sheens and Benji plan was left field but had merit and was worth a try and I still do. I just don’t want throw it out the window and start again under a new coach.

Lee and Pascoe have to go
