Jesus, If any of this is accurate then Sheens should be sent on a one way plane trip tonight,, this minute… playing mean girls with the footy team all because McDonnel lost his job? Are we a freaking charity for mates ? And Benji couldn’t be that obsessed with Brooks to put all his eggs in that basket ? No way he could be that reliant on Brooks .. no way in the world…if he is then it’s best to cut them all and bring in Holbrook and a new CEO because they all truly sound like a deadset pack of wankersHe said that sheens was tainting benjis opinion of Scott causing issues bc sheens hurt over Warren sacking
I passed all this to Lee and justin
Said whatever you think the perception is from player agents they think it’s a rabble
And won’t send players there
Told them they need to get Scott tim
And benji in a room
And put on a United front with agents regardless of what the truth is or we won’t sign anyone
Told them this was why Fainus had gone from preferring us to preferring other clubs
Lee said thanks for heads up
Justin said he had full
Faith in Scott
I told Justin that’s well and good but the market is concerned he won’t stick around and two they don’t think it’s United at the club
Let’s see how it goes
My opinion is that the sheens Fulton benji thing won’t last
I’ve heard from a close mate of benji he’s having second thoughts bc he walked away from a million dollar media deal bc he wanted to keep brooks and was t happy with the deadline we gave him and the $550k offer
And Scott wanted schuster which apparently benji was ok with until sheens got in his ear
Tartak then not happy over that and said well I’ll take Fainus elsewhere…
You can agree with that or not but that’s business
So you can see it’s all over the shop
Scott not happy
Benji not happy
Sheens not happy
Justin and Lee delusional if they think everyone is happy or can’t fix the mess
Agree with other comments that winning helps but it’s pretty bad atm
If that was a real concern, why did Freddy play him this year? Stefano's selection to play this year was probably earlier than we expected, but also Freddy has put him in the extended squad for a couple of years now, so he's obviously in that mix.
If Stefano's form is sufficient 2024 then he'll continue to be considered, despite whatever skulduggery people will imagine.
Lastly, if the player is actually agitating to leave or trigger clauses in their contract (whatever those clauses are) then blocking his release on a technicality (here the Origin clause) won't do us many favours. We need to continue to develop and invest in Stefano and the club such that he wants to stay, not that he's trying leverage opportunities to leave a year early. We want him to be looking at re-signing with us in 2025, and he'll only be 25 years old then.
Also, personally I'm not convinced that Roosters are in such a shape as to be able to continue to be commanding the top players based on premiership or rep opportunities. Maybe Roosters still have the financial / network pull, but I think they are facing the end of an era of dominance and there are not in any particular position to turn it around. Tedesco is aging rapidly but still their best player, they gambled and lost on Sua'ali'i, they didn't get RTS back, Keary is busted, Walker has been dropped, JWH will retire soon enough. Brandon Smith is off the rails etc. With enough losing seasons the pressure will come onto Trent Robinson, whom they have relied on for a very long time.
Anyway all these clauses seem the new way that players are negotiating, with the top-tier salaries flat-lining, they are demanding other forms of control. For example the exit clauses for Tino and Fifita based on who the coach is.
Think I saw NRL Physio say he's dealing with a back issue.where’d u see this? has ramifications for my Fantasy team 😅😅
Unless I read it wrong, (the gist of it) seems to be Tartak threatened to take Fainu brothers elsewhere due to Schuster....which is the original source of conflict between Scott, Tim and Benji.Reading between the lines it's a player manager war and the player managers want sheens gone and they're team fulton.
In conclusion we are screwed.
Like he had Munster? No my source told me Bennett is 95% certain he has them
Sure you do. 😉Have it on very good authority that Holbrook isn’t interested in linking with the Wests Tigers. Joining the entire NRL community.
Nobody at any level wants to join this clubHave it on very good authority that Holbrook isn’t interested in linking with the Wests Tigers. Joining the entire NRL community.
I agree. The thing is when Dolphins get the deal done, it happens quickly and doesn't usually get leaked...i.e The Hammer, Farnworth, Fleggler, The Storm trio. From memory there was no lead up with them other than maybe a few journalists guessing and then bang they signed there.I'd say this is planted by Tartak to get Tigers to up their offer if the brothers preference is to stay in Sydney.
Seems the Holbrook rumour is gaining traction - wonder if it could be for more than just an assistant role.
Just my opinion but if that was to happen we really need to Cumberland Oval the club structures and start over.
Sadly, I have come to the conclusion that people just make stuff up on the internet,,even when posting on a fan forum for my beloved Wests Tigers.. I was naive to believe or think that fellow Tiger fans wouldn’t stoop to it,, but it appears I was deluded… 🙁☹️😢Where is the latest traction mate? I haven't seen anything since initial rumour reports
Apparently we were "enquiring to his availability" but whether that means we were looking into adding him to staff or pushing for something more I have no idea about that. Seemed odd to bring him in as an assistant but then these reports about Sheens and Benji being annoyed and frustrated came out the next day and suddenly the pieces start to come together. I asked if he knew if there was anymore to it but nothing else, he was certain we have at least had some contact with his management. I think there's a hell of a lot of conflict at the higher levels right now and we are starting to see that play out via the media. Just an absolute circus if that really is the case. Send us to Perth etc etcWhere is the latest traction mate? I haven't seen anything since initial rumour reports
i believe he has already agreed to a coaching position at the Roosters. Why don't they sign Pearce for 2 years, He only knocked us back for this year not next.
He should show some passion for the jumper coming from a family of Tigers.
Been going on for years.... Fair dinkum if recent rumour & innuendo about instability is true, Lee, the Board & Pascoe are going to have legions of passionate fans baying for blood! How can so-called leaders be so incompetent time & time again!Apparently we were "enquiring to his availability" but whether that means we were looking into adding him to staff or pushing for something more I have no idea about that. So does this unnamed player manager you spoke to live in the WT offices or has he planted a bug. How the hell would a player manager have first hand knowledge of Sheens changing Benjis mind on anything. Not even the senior playing group would be privy to what goes on between Sheens and Benji. That’s what I heard
…. As in … influencing his decision making … and as Scott and Tim seem opposed on lots of things … benji has changed his views on a couple of things after Tim has gotten in his ear.
Again - don’t shoot messenger
Proof will be over next couple of months if we sign anyone and if tim benji and Scott all remain at the club
