Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

What the newspaper wants to tell us. They know whoever reads it thinks it real. So they can buy time whilst they think of another story to take your mind of that last story they made up.
The same guys that tore Brooks down as a player, ripped the club for losing him to Manly & then praised Manly for the wonderful signing, for 4 years.

That in itself, should tell everyone, everything they need to know.

Sezar fits the narrative that's been coming from Sheens for....as long as i can remember him talking about halves.

We need an experienced half.

We now have an experienced half.

This has been the target since they started looking at next season. Maybe not Sezar, but what Sezar represents. Direction & experience.

Sezar's kicking game = we need a threat in the air out wide.
Yes a 6’3 or taller winger who is athletic, good in the air and can score length of the field tries.
Where do we find someone who fits this description ?
The closest I can think of is young Sam Stonestreet who I believe is contracted to the Sharks until the end of 2025, but with no immediate opportunity of him playing regular NRL at the Sharks, maybe a good offer could get him out of there ?
Not sure he is overly tall, but Treigh Stewart at the Dragons is a flying machine capable of scoring length of field tries.

Curtis Rona is 6ft 4in ….

With Seizer expected to be a cheap deal, he’s pretty much all we need from our 7. Someone with experience and a good kicking game. I don’t hate it at all.

If the Fainu deal doesn’t get over…. we’d have a lot of $ left, maybe we could make a play for Welsby at 6. The goal being to move Welsby and Galvin as our future halves combination.

Isn’t that Tupou?

He was good in the air last year. Not sure what happened this year.

He’s got all the talent just needs good coaching.

Big statement TS, how do you see that, apart from normal differences of opinion between management ?

Benji been out trying to recruit everyone God love him.

Sheens. As stubborn as he is. Can see some logic around his decision for example I can see the need for an experienced half.

Fulton, I feel is holding back players until he gets what he wants, if true, he only serves himself.

Shuster
Cogger

Not sure that's what the club needs
