Wests Tigers hooker Jake Simpkin has landed on the radar of the Parramatta Eels, as the club searches for a stop gap for injured veteran rake Josh Hodgson.

Simpkin is contracted until the end of season 2024 and would need a release from the Tigers to join a rival club.

There is a view that Simpkin could excel in the right system.

But given the rising player discontent at Concord, and the fact Simpkin was a long-term project of former coach Micheal Maguire, that release might not be so difficult for the Eels to secure.

St Helens hooker Joey Lussick has also been discussed and offers the upside of having already been in the Eels system.

Other hooker options available immediately include the likes of Roosters rake Jake Turpin, who is unsigned for next year.

The club is also open to the option of going down the player loan path if the right opportunity presents itself.

Hooker is just one of the two roster spots the Eels have to fill before the August 3 deadline, the other is likely to come in the form of an outside back.

Simonsson would crash and burn here. pushes a pass far too often and makes dumb errors. Sanders I'd love but I think his management will steer him away from us given how this club has treated its halves in the past.

Ethan Sanders path blocked at the Eels for 4+ years. Sanders can leap straight into our top 30 on better money and be mentored by Aidan Sezer for 2 seasons. Both Simpkin & Sanders contracted for the same time and Simpkin would be on better money. It would all come down to whether Sanders wants to come here.

He was used as a middle off the bench at Dragons, which isn't his go. Was by far the best back rower in nsw cup for a few years running before Warriors signed him.

How would you like to play outside ToMmy Talau .. only ball Tupou ever gets is returning bombs 💣 lobbed at him all night .. Tommy cannot pass , refuses to communicate with his winger and misses more tackles than he makes .. Tupou would look amazing anywhere else but at the end of that lazy , slow , skilless , inept backline from hell !

Blore, who previously captained the NSW State of Origin under-18s, was linked with a move to the Super League earlier this year but the 22-year-old has been told he is seen as part of the future at Wests Tigers.

Omg 😳 .. a truly amazing thing for Wests Tigers . A rreal man that fronted up , wants to stay and is happy to stay because he wants to he here!! I like Blore a lot but now I want him as captain .. ethics , and Integrity.. I bet Pascoe is scared to death of him !

So let me get this

Lee and Pascoe hire Sheenius to be head coach and agree to his terms and there is no leaks

Lee and Pascoe feel left out go behind Sheenius back break the terms that they agreed to and hire Fulton


Lee feels important again and starts making stupid comments to the paper's again like previous

Fulton is the big dog in town and doesn't care about previous agreements between Tim Benji and Lee Pascoe

Fulton the Muppet who got sacked from Manly who sign the lazy Manly pivot on 800K ayear has no one yet of note


On Fulton's watch stories start of player unrest and juniors wanting to leave blaming anyone but him for the problems

Fulton starts leaking information to people out side the club to get him self seen in a better light and drags the club through the mud


Is that every thing?

Fulton should be sacked and Lee and Pascoe should be sacked as well for there incompetence to hire a man they don't believe in enough to back Sheen's and for hiring Fulton and dragging the club through the mud the 3 of them are absolute Muppets
