I might be the only one, but I thought it played out as best it could without adding fuel to the fire.

He was never going to come on and bag the club but I do believe if we get the spoon (Likely) there will be changes over the off season.

It has not gone to plan 2023 but Sheens is technically doing what we needed him to do but the results are lower than expected. (It was never a top 8 season as we all know).
Sheen is blooding some real future stars and taking the hits for it instead of Benji.
Bule, Poole, Topou, TDS etc and I would imagine a few more before season ends.

Just a few factors that have not helped results this year that have costs us from maybe sitting around 10-12th on the ladder and media off our backs: (Yes and some are our own doing)
Losing AD, Brooks, Api for long periods does not help and any team that loses spine struggle.
Apart from the Broncos & Cowboys games we have been in most game and just lacked the top line halve to help close them out.
Disclaimer on this point - I know we are bias but even the common fan out there believes we do not get the rub of the green as all from the refs. I am fully aware we need to be better ourselves but there have been some absolute shockers on us and costs us games.

Positives for me looking forward outside the CEO / boards etc..

1. We have a very good Forward pack with some great young forwards ready to fill in when needed and learn from players like Klemmer, Api, Bateman..
2. We have some of the best young talent going around like Bula, Poole, Topou, TDS and they have tasted 1st grade. The big concern is if we don't get the off field fixed ASAP we will lose them like Teddy, Moses etc..

I agreed to Buzz a little tonight and the fact that once Benji takes over he will be desperate to have a recruitment person to assist and if that's Fulton they need to have a coffee/s and get there sh#t together.

Just thought I would add some positives in dark times like these..

Actually, he was being quite specific. His point was that after Brooks' management had put a deadline on the club to make an offer, they put a deadline on a decision 3 weeks after the contract offer. 3 days is irrelevant- the Brooks management had the offer for weeks.

This is what gets me with fans. If the Tigers had let this drag on, and we were still waiting on a decision- we'd be blowing up deluxe calling them incompetant. If Brooks had signed? There'd be riots that the club had stuck with the 'dud' even though he's hopeless. Instead, the Tigers don't outbid themselves, they put a timeline on after it drags out, and Brooks signs for Manly for more than the Tigers offered.

Still not happy.

Not at all. He completely denied the time period. He then defended why they put the time period on.

I’m not sure if you watched it but he was straight caught out lying and then tried to cover it up. We will never know if brooks felt disrespected by the clock, all we have to work on is the facts. Tonight this clown said
no, we did not put a expiration date on the offer. When presented with more facts that they indeed did, he tried to defend the reasoning by suggesting the dribble you posted.

Ultimately the guy doubled down on being deceptive and full of double speak.

I was actually wondering if Braith is interested in bringing Lachlan illias back to the Tigers to a long term contract.
When they discussed the Sezer deal being 1 or two years he was applauding it cause it gives them a chance to go to market for an off contract 24 or 25 player.

That's not how I saw it- but I'm not here to say right or wrong, really. I thought he gave a pretty good account of how the deal/lack of deal went down.

And putting a timeline on a deal is something I've seen 'requested' in here many times before. Mitch Moses anyone?

We have a musician, an oil exec, a real estate exec, a long time member and a club exec on our board, did anyone ever think maybe a board full of people who know something about football might be a good idea when trying to run a club.
