What makes you think Benji will be a good coach?
By all reports he has been running things most of the year and has lost 14 from 17 games.
He has also failed to attract any talent, missing out on a lot of players he wanted.

Parra need a hooker now. This season is probably the only chance of Eels taking Simpkin while Hodgson is out so I doubt they'll swap an existing top 13 player in Russell. Maybe Haze Dunster who Benji is mates with but not sure if Dunster is much better than Blake. Has anyone got any good feedback on Dunster?

I read Dunster is Benjis cousin...

He is decent.
Alright finisher.

Top 30 and has a few years on his contract.
 
Blake I thought signed next year to Union.

Hope he doesn’t come, he is the worst winger in the game at bomb defending. He seriously would be no better than anything we have currently.

With Staines and Nofo back we don’t need him this season anyway. Doesn’t make sense to trade a player we use/need for one we don’t.

But hey we gave them Joffa, Matto and Moses for free yet had to wait for ages for Stef/Ice…. We never win in the parra releases.

- laurie approached penrith as tigers and superleague was the only other teams interested
- waqa blake was offered at this stage deal wont happen for a player trade, may happen for a $$$ fee though before aug 7, jake unlikely to be at the club next year

I think it's to escape blame. We don't know if it's Benji or Sheens that is the problem. Maybe it's both.

The same thing happened with Lee saying that he and Pascoe don't make the decisions. It's the board that run the club. Who though?

I certainly don’t want him… but he would need to have only one arm to be a worse bomb defender then Tupou

Thanks for clarifying @kade7 . If we paid next to nothing for Waqa for the rest of the season to sure up our outside backs this season, possibly.

Dunster was killing it during the 2021 season but got some bad injuries in the 2022 pre-season which saw him out for the year.

Not sure how he has recovered from those injuries because he has had limited games this season as far as I know.
