Yep, why can’t this shite be kept in house?I love Chris Lawrence was one of my favourite players - however this isn't a good look.
We're already going through enough as a club and the one day we have good media coverage with the Fainu brothers a story breaks the next day about Lawrence not liking a private exchange he had and goes to the media about it. You keep private things private.
We love to put the boot in Lee (myself included at times) but this exchange isn't on him.
The way we treat our club legends is disgraceful & if this is true another reason why that egotistical maniac needs to get the boot. How isn't this exchange on him? Rowdy is a legend who busted his arse for this club & Lee is a turd who can't handle criticism. This is 110% on Lee.I love Chris Lawrence was one of my favourite players - however this isn't a good look.

We need to keep good experienced players, especially at positions we are thin (some would justifiably argue that these are all except backrowers 😢 ).If this is true, then WT must be getting a couple of players in before the August deadline. Also, I was always a bit suss with the 1 year contract, obviously just a filler. The question is was it WT or Staines wanting it that way. Anyway it's a shame. I thought he was a good player with the right attitude and performance. Good luck to him.
So did your boy Brooks the other week to the Daily TeleRowdy also rubbished the Club on national TV from his Doorstep not so long ago....
Seems Lee's not the only one who takes exception with someone elses' opinion of his worth...
Rowdy speaking on the current state of the club isn't rubbishing it's him speaking the cold hard truth. But Lee can't take any criticism cue Allan Jones & Shannon Cavanagh. You'll have to show me where I called Brooks a 'Club Legend'
It works both ways, If he wants Legend status and eternal respect from the club, That's gotta come the other way..
Show me where Skando (A real club Legend) rubbished the club publicly?
You need to look at it from Lee's perspective. He's effectively paid Chris's wage for a period of time through his sponsorship. Money that he could have kept in his pocket.Rowdy speaking on the current state of the club is rubbishing it it's him speaking the cold hard truth. What was so disrespectful about the alleged message he sent? "You can't be happy with this?" There is nothing malicious or disrespectful about it, he's asking a honest & good question. You need to look at it from Lee's perspective. He's also doing the board job for free I believe.
I mean, you cant have a go at the guys intent or effort. At least send messages with a bit of respect of that.
There was a whisper a couple of months ago that Staines and Parra were having talksI posted on here maybe a fortnight ago that the Eels have enquired about Nofa - seems like they ended up getting another outside back instead.
Maybe the $ scared them off..... why wouldn't it

If he is performing the way he is now even into next year, it is not overpaying. It's called shielding off bigger and more attractive alternatives for him to join. We are a serial victim of overpaying duds with over 100 games (ring a bell, your bestie Brooksie for example) that have shown barely anything at all to warrant that. Let's try overpay a fella like Bula for once hey? Not against it, the kid has his head screwed on, best believe he's going to constantly try improve himself. Has the attitude. Laughable comment really.Overpaying Hyped up Young Guns.....
We've been on this ride before - Strap in.
I would love for the boys or the manager come out and say they had multiple offers to prove these morons wronggreat the fainus signed on
i was initially told that bulldogs werent interested, they absolutely offered the boys a contract
in fact my source (a player agent) shared that the dolphins / canberra / dogs all out bid the tigers
fulton was a big reason for them coming as well as feledy
Lee hasn't paid any players' wage, ever. I would think most, oif not all, board roles at nrl clubs are unpaid. It's not like they're running an ASX200 company. You need to look at it from Lee's perspective. He's effectively paid Chris's wage for a period of time through his sponsorship. He runs a huge law firm, he has all the power he needs. He was helping initially without the chairman title. He'll be getting enjoyment as you or I would being able to help the team we love.He may not be doing the chairman's position for dollars up front but you can't honestly believe he is getting nothing out of it,he would not need the dollars but no doubt in my mind he needs the feeling of power which feeds his ego
He pays it indirectly man.... his sponsorship gives the club money which pays the wages.Lee hasn't paid any players' wage, ever. I would think most, oif not all, board roles at nrl clubs are unpaid. It's not like they're running an ASX200 company.
The man is one of the biggest egotistical wankers in the nrl. he reaps what he sows.
Our d1ckhead of a chairman who can’t keep his mouth shut has forced out club legend Chris Lawrence because he said something to him after we got thrashed by the Cowboys.
I can’t emphasise how much of a stain & cancer this eff wit is on our club & everytime I see him spew more pointless dribble my blood boils. We’re stuck with this loser & his little man syndrome for a while because he wipes the boards ass with his lawyer dollars. Can’t wait till this flop effs off
Forced out? He was or still may be a club ambassador. It’s not like he got sacked, as far as I know Chris has a day time job running his own business. In any case it’s hard to form an opinion on what actually happened here based on James Hooper’s utterings. Guy is a serial offender in writing negative WT stories out of nonevents.

He has a hell of a lot of improvement in him (losing the cowboy hat being one), but there wouldn't be too many people capable or eager to be doing what he is doing. We shouldn't lose sight of that.
