The Dragons rebuild is well and truly underway, with one young star given permission to leave the club, while a veteran will make an immediate transfer to the UK.

St George Illawarra have granted highly-rated halfback Jayden Sullivan permission to negotiate with rival clubs effectively immediately.

Sullivan met incoming coach Shane Flanagan on Wednesday and was told he was free to look elsewhere.

Sullivan’s manager Mario Tartak is now shopping the Dragons local junior to rival clubs, including Canterbury, Wests Tigers, and Newcastle.

While the Bulldogs appeared certain to sign him, coach Cameron Ciraldo has eased off after securing Toby Sexton from the Gold Coast.

The Tigers are now odds-on favourites to secure him.

Sullivan’s pay packet is in the $500,000 a season range and the Dragons may have to contribute to his next contract to make the halfback a more attractive option to rivals.

He had two more years left on his current deal.

Wonder what best position is.

IF we sign Sullivan & Sezer that would be 29 Top 30 spots taken based on who we already have on the books.

Really need to release at least 2 maybe 3 players: Simpkin, Nofoaluma, Reilly & possibly Naden or Kepaoa.

Sign Tracey. Resign/Upgrade Staines & James.

Then we look fair.

1. Bula
2. Tupou
3. To'a/Feledy
4. Tracey
5. Staines
6. L. Fainu/Sullivan/Douiehi (when fit)
7. Sezer
8. Utoiukamanu
9. Korosaui
10. Klemmer
11. Papali'i
12. Bateman
13. Blore
14. Da Silva/Sullivan
15. James
16. Pole
17. Twal
18. Kepaoa/Naden
19. S. Fainu

Plus obviously the other 10 or so with Top 30 deals.

Depth in halves, back & forwards! Wow!

I posted on here that Sullivan was making way for Kyle and that the Tigers still wanted another halves player besides Seizers expected arrival so does make sense. Sullivan is twice the player as Wakeham so I’d prefer him as our backup option for 7.

We actually wanted him 1-2 years ago but as I recall he re-signed at the Dragons. Plans change though as Shane wants his son at 7.
Yeah true, but I'm starting to get a bit of an impression Tartak is doing to us what Moses is doing to Manly

Daine Laurie officially signed with Panthers
I'm sorry to see him go as he definitely has ability, but from the way he has been playing for most of this year, it's obvious he didn't want to be here.
Plus, the stupid stuff with the Penrith jumper and riding a scooter when he was injured showed bad attitude imo.

Simpkin, Nofoaluma, Reilly & Kepaoa should go IMO.

What’s this about Tracey? Who what where? Haha

Rothfield reporting Tigers are the favourites to sign Jayden Sullivan for next season.

Depending on price, I think he's a great option as a bench utility/back-up half, but not as a first-choice starter.
Bloke has mad attitude problems. But he's very dangerous close to the line, which is the exact opposite of any current Tigers player.

Rumours Tracey was signed by Parra. Absolutely no truth to it. He has no deal 24. Another member on this forum stated he was related to him.

Surely we would look at him can play 1-7. As the Sharks have done played him in the centres. Perfect for us plus adds depth.

Anyway it all seems to slowly be coming together.

Look at 2022 roster compared to the 2024 roster I think there is about 8 of the same names. That's a 22 person turn over.

Outside of players let lock down a good assistant coach for 24. Robbie to do another role at the club.

No Rd 21 spoilers so note tonight Metcalf last few weeks great but tonight 3 errors and 3 missed tackles .He's inconsistent. Despite this warriors 14-6 up half time and Raiders only points from Warriors cold drop and Hudson Young picks up races 40m to score under posts

The Titans are facing a battle to retain Phillip Sami with two Sydney rivals, including the Roosters, circling the former Queensland Origin flyer.

Sydney scouts are watching Sami closely and the in-form outside back gets the chance to press his claims in the Titans’ clash against the Roosters on Saturday at Cbus Super Stadium.

Sami has been one of the form wingers of the NRL this season and the Titans have been so rapt with his form they want to extend his current contract.

The 25-year-old is off-contract at the end of next season but Gold Coast bosses are keen to keep Sami on the Glitter Strip until the end of 2025 or 2026.
Pretty sure Tigers had a big crack at Sami last contract?

For a 25 year old he looks about 40. Fast though.

Surely this is a sign that he has signed with the Tigers!
