Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Bateman has moments, Don't know he's been good....
Has dumped plenty of clean ball with plenty of stupid turnovers.
Klemmer is playing for too long and not scaring anyone...
In fact, No one in our pack scares anyone - Like always... Aitasi gives me some hope.

Agree on the others...
And the backs have long been a problem, (Would be worse if without the emergence of Bula)
I'm glad fans here are starting to come round to it.
They're just not quality...
What has Bateman done good except build his stats with plenty of third man in arm grabbing tackles ?
He is the ONLY second rower in the NRL that does not run on to the ball hard whether they receive the ball or be used as a genuine decoy.
Out attack stifles whenever the ball goes his way due to this.
Papali’i at least runs the ball hard, I cannot believe anyone could think Bateman has been better than him.
Klemmer was certainly disappointing against the Rabbitohs and his impact has been in decline since he played great against the Cowboys at Leichhardt, but I think he’s done enough to be given the benefit of the doubt and hope he rediscovers his best for next season.
I think Stefano has been good without being brilliant. He’s still only 23y.o so his best years should be approaching,

I heard it was the other way around.... Benji approached Teddy and sold the new vision of what he's trying to do and if Tedesco would ever consider a reunion when the time came as he was seeing what was unfolding at the Roosters. Wasn't 100% shutdown but Teddy made it clear his preference is to remain at the Roosters. Apparently if Teddy had agreed to come back or given indication he would heavily consider it that Moses would've signed on the dot with the goal to "bring the band back together" and have a potential spine of:

1. Tedesco
6. Brooks
7. Moses
9. Api

Unfortunately due to Tedesco's reluctance to come back Moses then had Parra up his offer and decided to remain at the club. Brooks also has now left. Bula has also come from nowhere and looks to be our long term fullback.

So in regards to Teddy ever coming back.... I'd call it extremely unlikely.
amazing how quickly things turn. can't help but wonder what might've been, but I think with Bula, Latu and Da Silva we have the makings of an incredibly talented spine that could dominate the league within 4 years. that's without even mentioning the likes of Sullivan, Conti, Large, Galvin and Isdale, who all have potential in their own right.

Very astute observation Sir.

If business doesn't get in the way. Great post.

Our team would improve immensely if we send him back to the UK and recruit a younger, bigger, hungrier, more aggressive back rower such as Josh Curran who will struggle to fit in the Warriors top 17 when they are full strength, therefore there must be a chance they would release him from his contract with then early if he was desperate enough to return back home to a Sydney based club.
Willison from the Broncos would probably be even better if that rumour was true, but I find it very hard to believe the Broncos would let a young emerging brute of a forward like him go.

Or a better coach. Or management.

Those disgraceful decisions should surely mean we never let Sheens have anything to do with recruitment and retention ever again.
So we have had Ivan Cleary advising the club that Teddy, Moses and Woods were not worth the pay increase they were asking for, Mick Potter & Jason Taylor advising Koroibete and then Addo-Carr were not up to NRL because they didn’t defend well enough on the wing.

It's hard for me to crucify Sheens on the Hastings decision when it's nothing compared to the other decisions you mention here.

Some real poor decisions there.

Xavier Wilson expected to be dropped to reserve grade this week in favour for Brandon Piakura.

Maybe those Wests Tigers links could be true.
We can only hope.
Willison can play on an edge or the middle, similar to Sanuela Fainu and Shawn Blore.
It would give us great size, athleticism, aggression, strike power and balance within our squad to have all three of them.
