Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Your general assessment is correct, but French was a try scoring machine in the NRL before he left.

Has put on size and seems a more complete player. I doubt he’d be asking for huge money and I keep saying, the guys we sign don’t all need to be superstars. We need to fill our roster with competent players that can do a job if called upon. If he makes our team, I think he offers something. If he doesn’t, it means we have a better option and he is excellent depth for injury.
We can't fill the roster with gamble/mid players. We have made that mistake before

Where did I mention our contribution portion of that
- He's on 850k, One of the highest paid props in the game...

He's in the top 10 for ARM because he's out there for 70 off minutes a week....
Scaring no one.
Relative to our cap he's only on 400k this season which is proving to be great value for money.

He's only played over 60 minutes in one game this season his average is about 50 minutes. Averaging 140 running metres in 50 minutes is pretty impressive he also has a 99.2% tackle efficiency.

Go back and watch the first hit up of last weeks game...
And tell me what half is gonna do what on the back of that?

While you're at it, Go back and watch all the games and see how many chances are blown in the red zone through factors outside of the halves...
Everyone in our starting 2023 outside backs have been dropped haven't they?
If there's 1 that hasn't, It's not been because he hasn't deserved it.

And if you're not seeing it - That's maybe the problem?
If you're not seeing our halves are the issue as quoted by our whole coaching staff & pundits alike then maybe that's the issue? But you'd do anything to keep your Brooks fantasy going.

Coaching staff passing the buck as usual. They are the issue. Hopefully it will tweak for you when the attack is no different next season.

His Salary for this season is 850k I believe but Knights paying majority of it. Then it changes to 600-650k for next season.
But where have you heard this? I was of the belief that Klemmer would only be released on the condition Knights don't contribute.
Edit*5-10mins on google and can not find anything suggesting Knights are paying any of the contract.

I think Bula is going to be amazing.

But, if somehow Tedesco was to actually be in conversation of returning to the Tigers, I'd accommodate it.

It's not like bringing back some guy that offers nothing.

If Tedesco came back on a short deal, and the club had him in on something similar to how the Warriors are taking RTS back- he fits as we need him. He can play some fullback, with Bula to the centres (junior position) if that works. Or Teddy to the centres. Or wing. Or in some fluid thing where players move around a bit.

Tigers do not have players of Tedesco quality on the roster outside of Api. Everyone else is too young, or not of that level.

The only caveat to Tedesco returning should be that it is for the long term benefit of the young group coming through. Pass on experience, training habits, tips on development etc. I understand some people having resentment toward him for leaving...but geez.
Cmon

This forum has a bias against people who win a couple of comps thats for sure.
Yes, we have trouble dealing with that sort of thing around here.

As Wests Tigers supporters most of us have trouble grasping a concept like winning, myself I am still amazed that Api came here and even more amazed that he has extended for another couple of years considering how we are going at the moment.

Api must be seeing something here that many of us can't, which gives me the confidence to believe that there must be better times ahead, at least I hope that is the case.
