Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Just to counter your comment though. The Titans have an entire backline of players that are as quick as To’a and as large as Tupou. Both Fifita and Sami are big fast backs!
That’s true but it’s the speed of Alofiana-Khan that contributes to many of their attacking raids, line breaks and tries.
We need something similar on one wing and there are options such as Bevan French back from the Super League, Xavier Savage who has dropped way down the pecking list at the Raiders and even Treigh Stewart from the Dragons NSW Cup team.
All three are prolific try scorers who very rarely get caught when in the clear.

We're all still talking about Poles' ball returns in second half against the Raiders....
- the 20 year old with less than 20 games under his belt...
We've apparently got one of the highest rated young props in the game, And a bloke who's played at the highest level on 850k a year....

I've barely seen either one bruise a grape all year.
I’ve mentioned it previously. Stef is very quiet at the start of the contest. Klemmer is consistent but consistently 1 dimensional where as when Stef comes on gang busters in his second stint and runs with purpose. Where he lets me down is his lack of intensity off the ball, I hope Woodsy isn’t his mentor…
I believe our issue is shape. I can’t see how the powers to be can’t see it but we have two very upright runners just crashing into the line trying to get meters. I would be giving Aitsi or Pole the 8 jersey and bringing Stef off the bench, maybe next season dropping Klem back to bench middle of game forward.

I’d take Savage or Sloan and play either as out and out wingers who at a pinch can cover fullback. Not sure if we’d be first choice for them though.

We haven’t even resigned Asitasi James yet have we ?
Like the majority of our supporters I think he’s the big, aggressive type of middle forward we need coming off the bench, he will be another that is very hard to replace if we don’t re-sign him.

If we were any chance of signing Sloan I’d pounce on him in a heart beat.
Imagine having three young freak athletes like Sloan, Savage and Bula all in the one team, it would be points galore.

Definitely freeing up money for Hass to stay you’d think. Especially when they have Ben Te Kura waiting in the wings who could be on a lot less and offer just as much for them as a back up.
The Broncs also have Brendan Piakura, a Keebra Park second row forward and former Aust Schoolboys rep. I don't know how this club continually stockpiles NZ talent.

Against a very good South's pack Stef played 52 minutes, made 120m with 8 tackle breaks (most of any forward for either side) and 27 tackles without a miss. Amazed at the criticism

He was very good against Souths but it's one game. He hasn't had a good season. He needs to play like he did against Souths week in and week out. Until that point he is an average NRL prop.

He's very good and only very young for a front row forward. I'd like to see him develop into our leader because off the field in interviews he is impressive and likeable.

Stef's ceiling is so high - I just do not get the criticism he cops on here at all.

Still one of the best young props in the game, and he is a baby in terms of his playing career.

I don't understand these comments. Has Stef been a top tier prop this season ? The answer to me is clearly no. Does he have that ability ? I think he does.

We need players to make that step up and become top tier players in their positions.

I dont watch much ESL to make a fair judgement but for the same reasons as you plus concerns about our coaching staff I'd honestly be shocked if it ends well.
Sezer is solid in superleague however Blake Austin carries the bulk of the load in that team(Leeds) , & watching them play I reckon does most of the organising & directing as well

He will be a top player in his position, he is already a very good one.

Ratting on a young prop and being prepared to give him up because he hasn't reached the lofty heights of someone's expectation is just silly.

Like I said, most good props don't hit their straps until a few years into their career. He is young, has missed time through injury, and has already been selected for NSW once. There will be plenty more to come.

“Go back and watch the first hit up of last weeks game...”

Unfortunately an illegal shoulder charge
and again a following 1st hit up
No action on field + multiple tacklers 2/3
Hardly much failure from Klemmer
Shhhh don’t let the truth get in the way of the Forums fantasy lol. Nevermind Koloamatangi got charged for 2 shoulder chargers on Klemmer & we didn’t get one penalty for it.

Freddy saw 10 mins of him at Origin and had enough … what did you make of that?

I actually thought he had his best game of the season last weekend against Souths… hopefully he has found something now… to be honest I expected more from him this season…

The whole team lacks mongrel ..so it probably wouldnt be fair to single him out in this regard ..
