Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I’d take Savage or Sloan and play either as out and out wingers who at a pinch can cover fullback. Not sure if we’d be first choice for them though.
If we were any chance of signing Sloan I’d pounce on him in a heart beat.
Imagine having three young freak athletes like Sloan, Savage and Bula all in the one team, it would be points galore.

Definitely freeing up money for Hass to stay you’d think. Especially when they have Ben Te Kura waiting in the wings who could be on a lot less and offer just as much for them as a back up.
The Broncs also have Brendan Piakura, a Keebra Park second row forward and former Aust Schoolboys rep. I don't know how this club continually stockpiles NZ talent.

Against a very good South's pack Stef played 52 minutes, made 120m with 8 tackle breaks (most of any forward for either side) and 27 tackles without a miss. Amazed at the criticism

He was very good against Souths but it's one game. He hasn't had a good season. He needs to play like he did against Souths week in and week out. Until that point he is an average NRL prop.

He's very good and only very young for a front row forward. I'd like to see him develop into our leader because off the field in interviews he is impressive and likeable.

Stef's ceiling is so high - I just do not get the criticism he cops on here at all.

Still one of the best young props in the game, and he is a baby in terms of his playing career.

I don't understand these comments. Has Stef been a top tier prop this season ? The answer to me is clearly no. Does he have that ability ? I think he does.

We need players to make that step up and become top tier players in their positions.

I dont watch much ESL to make a fair judgement but for the same reasons as you plus concerns about our coaching staff I'd honestly be shocked if it ends well.
Sezer is solid in superleague however Blake Austin carries the bulk of the load in that team(Leeds) , & watching them play I reckon does most of the organising & directing as well

He will be a top player in his position, he is already a very good one.

Ratting on a young prop and being prepared to give him up because he hasn't reached the lofty heights of someone's expectation is just silly.

Like I said, most good props don't hit their straps until a few years into their career. He is young, has missed time through injury, and has already been selected for NSW once. There will be plenty more to come.

“Go back and watch the first hit up of last weeks game...”

Unfortunately an illegal shoulder charge
and again a following 1st hit up
No action on field + multiple tacklers 2/3
Hardly much failure from Klemmer
Shhhh don’t let the truth get in the way of the Forums fantasy lol. Nevermind Koloamatangi got charged for 2 shoulder chargers on Klemmer & we didn’t get one penalty for it.

Freddy saw 10 mins of him at Origin and had enough … what did you make of that?

I actually thought he had his best game of the season last weekend against Souths… hopefully he has found something now… to be honest I expected more from him this season…

The whole team lacks mongrel ..so it probably wouldnt be fair to single him out in this regard ..

I'm definitely not stating let him go. My expectations are reasonable assuming that I want to see this club become a successful club. All I'm stating is that we require our players to be top tier players and so far he hasn't delivered. We need him too.

He hasn't been a very good prop this season. Against Souths he was very good and I was really happy with him against Saints as well but that is two games. He has had some decent games apart from that but he hasn't been very good.

Api is top tier and has consistently played exceptionally well for us. I do not expect Stef to do that now although it would be great. We do need Stef though to maybe not improve his top level performances but definitely improve his consistency.

We need our top development players to develop into top tier players if we are to move up the ladder. Stef is one of those players.

If you want to be delusional, that's fine. Many of our fans are.
To build a successful and harmonious squad you need to focus on many different aspects, cap and squad management at the heart of it.
Delusional ? Youre delusional buddy! Everything I said was in line with the clubs thinking , yet you’re out here in your alternate reality where you’re right and club , who’s one who’s going to pay the money are wrong .
Like I said . Some special people on here .

amazing how quickly things turn. can't help but wonder what might've been, but I think with Bula, Latu and Da Silva we have the makings of an incredibly talented spine that could dominate the league within 4 years. that's without even mentioning the likes of Sullivan, Conti, Large, Galvin and Isdale, who all have potential in their own right.
100%

Particularly no. 3 and 4 in that list.

You don't remember when we had the 20's premiers coming through with the likes of Moses, Tedesco & Brooks over and above that and then with players like Farah, Benji and Woods....
I'm very frightful we'll repeat history, Overpay them all to keep them (Or lose them completely)
and leave a shell of a low level squad to attempt help them become consistent NRL Players...
Just like we did 10 years ago...

The reason Addo Carr, Koroibete etc. kicked on was the environment and work ethic in the clubs they went to
Not talent.

The shite is in the walls of this place, no matter how many coats of paint we give it....
Addo Carr and Koroibete not talented?
