Ellis and Hanley. Both influential for Wests and Balmain. His name was Bryan Lockwood, he was a master ball playing backrower .
And here’s one everyone has missed , one of are very best pommies , ELLIS , what a gun
Mate of mind is a trainer with Newtown , he told me early this week Moylan is of to the super league, so rest easyAny news yet - something is brewing , reports we are after Matt Moylan too - God please no
both players have plenty of talent but where they end up I'm not entirely sure. Two other players who could turn out to be anything are Riley Oitmann (fullback/wing) - Junior Blues & Tino Tavana (fullback/wing) who can take a speccy on the wing. Tino will be Flegg next season (turning 20) & Riley bottom age SG Ball (18).
We could be facing our next Tedesco/Papenhuyzen moment in a few years with the likes of Bula, Mason, Oitmann, Laulilii, Kanaan, Karnib & Nasser all very capable fullbacks.By then interest rates could be going down. No crystall ball here.
I appreciate that mate, but Scott Fulton has a brilliant eye for talent and doesn't need my help. being in the pathways would certainly be a dream though. the club has come a long way from where it used to be when I was getting around in Group 6.Hope Fulton reads this stuff. This is good. You guys do this for free! Kudos to you both!
Could you ask him if there are any Raudonikis photos on the wall in the Newton dressing room please!Mate of mind is a trainer with Newtown , he told me early this week Moylan is of to the super league, so rest easy
Absolutely. Hear you loud and clear. We could be facing our next Tedesco/Papenhuyzen moment in a few years with the likes of Bula, Mason, Oitmann, Laulilii, Kanaan, Karnib & Nasser all very capable fullbacks.
Yes Willett the forgotten man from Taree!both players have plenty of talent but where they end up I'm not entirely sure.
I know Oitmann definitely has a contract for the next few years but unsure on development and/or top 30 components. unsure on whether he plays LD Cup or SG next year, as in 2022 Gallagher and Colquhoun were the wingers.
I do think that SG Ball is going to look a little different next year as Da Silva will be Api's deputy and Galvin and Mason may not be available, so there might be a spot for him once the reshuffling is sorted.
Tavana might go down the Jordan Hill route, where he plays Flegg, becomes a part timer and plays Cup. I think Ofele Lene may end up doing something similar, same with Kirk. I think Luke Laulili'i will leapfrog all of them, same with Navren Willett, who has been signed on a very long term deal.
Maybe. But you are good also. You know your stuff. Blows me away.I appreciate that mate, but Scott Fulton has a brilliant eye for talent and doesn't need my help. being in the pathways would certainly be a dream though. the club has come a long way from where it used to be when I was getting around in Group 6.
Just a Friday vent post about the club's recruitment & retention ...
Ok so we hear we are undertaking an aggressive recruitment & retention drive but since Latu & Samuela Fainu, there has been crickets.
I do like we are keeping our plans in-house until announcement day with all this speculation re Sezer, Sullivan, Best, Moylan et al probably 99% likely coming from their managers.
I do think we are being patient so we land recruits who tick the necessary boxes for Benji and not rushed into low-IQ, overpaid players like the past.
However my vent is why the club cannot announce our retentions (like all other clubs). To me it shows disrespect from the club or a lack of understanding of what gives members/fans joy & hope ... in that we would love to hear that Tallyn DaSilva has agreed to a contract until xxx etc.
We hear that Lachlan Galvin, Da Silva, Laulilii are contracted through Zero Tackle website or hidden away in a club story.
WHY can't the club do a dedicated news story on each! For crying out loud, give us something! We claim to be a development club and these kids are the future, well bloody hell announce when they are extended or promoted to the top 30.
This is more evidence that the club's management need to be reviewed.
We haven't heard anything official about Galvin, Da Silva, Lauliliis, Faagutu, Mansfield, Miller and team mates.
AND why is there such a delay in retaining Charlie Staines & extending Shawn Blore! These two are 'no brainers' for me.
Sorry for the diatribe, just needed to get that off my chest,
Thanks love ur updates , can now have a few beers and enjoy them 🤪I usually post here and there about stuff I might've heard so just gonna do one big post every now and then to save the time so here we go:
- On the topic of the Dragons, I've got a really good source within the club who reckons Jayden Sullivan is expected to be announced within the next week barring any late change of mind. I believe both parties have come to an agreed figure and personal terms have already been agreed for nearly a week now just paperwork being processed should be official soon. They also confirmed that Flanagan has rejected any approaches towards Lomax and the view is to have him starting fullback come round 1 next year. I know Lomax's uncle and Zac has expressed he feels as if the culture is starting to shift positively lately and has been assured he's looked at as a long term player. Continuing on the Dragons there's a massive clean out developing as Flanagan isn't wasting any time turning over the roster. Moses Suli has been offered to a few clubs including us and was apparently told "no thank you". Suli's deal apparently in the region of 500-600k a year.
- In term of recruitment, the club have reached out to Canberra representatives in regards to Nick Cotric's availability. Nick Meaney has also been identified as a future target come November 1. Franklin Pele's representatives have reached out to the club to gauge interest come November 1. Unsure about the progress about these 3 just know there's interest.
- I know there's been reports of Blore being shopped to SL clubs. I may be wrong but my source insists that Blore will re-sign on 2 year deal. There is however concerns around his health and being prone to injuries but Sheens is a big fan of Blore.
- Simpkins is being aggressively shopped around.
- Belief around the club that Stefano wants to be here long term with plans to take over as captain after Api leaves and they believe when the time comes he'll extend.
- There's word around the league that Ilias may be on the outer at the Rabbits. This is personal opinion but if he becomes available I'd be seriously shocked if we don't make a play at him. Not saying it would be a good or bad signing but I'm pretty confident we will be one of his suitors due to the multiple connections. Benji will be driving that.
That's all I've got.....
Before you do. Consult beer thread for the latest. Thanks love ur updates , can now have a few beers and enjoy them 🤪
Yes there is. Wait for it.Any news on Sezer or alternative ???

Are Wests Tigers thinking of joining an over 30’s comp instead of the NRL ?Exactly. Starting anywhere in fact. Coaches half? Good football brain. Legs might be weary.
