Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I’m confused O,
So are you saying you don’t know why ? Or you do know and not saying ?
He violently destroyed a major sponsors property he destroyed another person's property he almost injured a few bystanders on a Bender

I think he had 18 months to go on his contract Manly did not say boo no compensation payment from the warriors no nothing just there is the door he was playing great football at the time as well either lose the sponsor or lose the player ASAP

Yes - SHITE!!
no not Shite.

Shite is our Wing defense, our centers who offer next to nothing.

The Abysmal forward pack performance of 2022, and surprising lack of impact in 2023..

Laurie in 2022 was one of the few highlights. 2023 he hasn't been particularly shite for a team of Shite.

Thanks O, all in all a nasty business, especially coming on top of the assault charge.
Another case of young and stupid I guess, certainly seems settled now over the ditch, well at least from a footy perspective.

We don't have the roster spots available to recruit a new backline. Re-signing Staines & adding Sezar & Sullivan fills the tin.

We need the likes of Naden, Nofa, To'a, Reilly, Feledy etc to step up & be counted. Particularly the older guys. Naden, Nofa & To'a playing consistently good football fixes our outside back issues.

Our existing backline isn't just going to turn a corner. They are second tier players at their position and will continue to play like this until we upgrade. Hopefully Feledy gets a shot...

We screwed then.

Bellamy at the storm shows that when you have your spine with great quality players, the players around that just have to be well coached. They have a history of players not wanted from other clubs being well coached to perform at the highest level, something we severely lack, for me coaching has been the big issue the past 1 and a half seasons.

Our rebuild started years ago with the same problems. It appears that depending on who you favour and who you don't will determine what excuses you will or wont give to those who have failed previously to turn things around, and those who continue to.
It starts and finishes with the quality of the players and we can't compete with clubs that can attract the ones we need. With the same squad if Maguire got these results he would have carried all the blame but Sheens and Benji get a pass because we can't blame another coach because we have to pretend to justify it as a decision to move forward, even though we havnt.

Are you saying we’ve had a spine of great quality??

The next Munster, Hughes or Pappenhuyzen and the next JWH, Suaali or Manu will not be produced from the Storm or Roosters' juniors. WTs has every chance of producing a few top line players from our junior ranks. Our strength is the junior districts and we have proven in the past we can produce. This is where we differ from these clubs and we need to continue to improve on the improvements we have already made in our Pathways. We won't buy our way out of the NRL cellar but we can produce the players we need to improve and at the same time deny the top echelon juniors clubs like the Storm and Roosters' require to remain strong.
