Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Question: now that Holbrook has signed on as a Rooster's assistant, who will we/should we get as the "experienced assistant" we told Tartak/Fainus we were going to install?
Would Adrian Lam come as an assistant to a battling club, or wait for a head coaching role now that's he's the king (after Leigh's win)? If not him, who should we target?
It'd have to be a package deal with son Lachlan me thinks.

I remember he knocked back a big money offer from the Warriors last time he was off contract, to resign with the Roosters. The "extras" must be awesome to keep him there at half price.
Only club in the universe who pay players "the going rate" and nobody wants to leave.

At least Payne Haas and Tino don't BS everyone when trying to extract top dollar from their current employers.

The beginning of the end for the cap was when Saints fitted Gasnier into their 2010 squad paying him for next year.

Fox disrupted the game permanently but they kept the cap pretty fairly policed.

Our club needs to start breaking some rules.
I remember that. He came back from French rugby on like $50k.

I’m always happy to remind all Saints supporters that they won the comp on this basis plus the Storm had an illegitimate team. Therefore, the comp wasn’t fully competitive. Needless to say, a non full strength premiership. I for one would have defended these claims if we won it, but we didn’t. In our defence, defeated by an illegitimate Saints squad.

He had a really good whole season at full back his first year.

Yes, he'd be cheap, but to improve the tigers need to make judgement calls on whether a player is going to help get you to the top or not, and he just isn't.

The fact he has signed with Penrith leads me to believe even he is happy to simply be a backup player and at least there he can hang out with his mates.

Unless Luai leaves he should've gone to a team who needs a 5/8th.

I think that sadly - for those of us who remember him - he could very well fade into oblivion in much the same way his incredibly coincidental namesake did all those years ago.

Like seriously, his name was Daine Laurie and I'm pretty sure he came from Penrith too! He was a forward, but it's still pretty freaky.... 😳
it’s his cousin. From mclean

Have a feeling the club is holding off on announcing Sullivan and Seizer officially until after the Dolphins game. Seems like they're heavily deflated with injuries and I think we're expected to get the win. Introducing those two signings after a win could create some momentum and good media narrative.

Side note: Blore and Twal as our prop rotation coming off the bench is impressing me more by the week. Really hope we keep Blore.
Do we definitely have Sullivan and Sezer? Or is there still stuff going on in the background?
