WestsTigers must be truly unique. An organisation where the CEO is accountable, and responsible for absolutely nothing! Pascoe is the one constant through all of the disasters of the last several years. He simply has to go. There's a lot to do to fix our club but this at least shouldn't be too hard for the mental giants on our board.

I was thinking a month or so back, that Lee was getting ready to throw him under the bus… but not so confident of that now…

Cant believe Pascoe has survived this long …mind blowing…

Agree. Worked for a few big corporates over the years where they'd sack people for wearing the wrong coloured ties but Pascoe seems to have achieved a form of corporate immortality at WT.

The way to stay in power is to always have someone else to throw under the bus when it looks like it's possible to be you,Pascoe is perfectly safe until it looks like Lee could be on the way out.Pascoe on the other hand is now trying to find someone he can sacrifice if Lee get's desperate to save himself. The rest of the board don't care as those useless articles know it won't be them

Benji is next man up.
I’ll suggest he is sacked in 2025.

Lee said in his interview last month, the board make the decisions.
They are a bunch of hospitality focused business people and the Wests Tigers Football Club are just one of their concerns…most likely the least. Lee is chairman and therefore the voice of the board and the conduit between it and the the Football Club administration I.e. Pascoe.

Obviously I can’t quantify this but from a lot of experience with these setups which involve an umbrella organisation overseeing various interests, it would go something like this:
Pascoe receives direct reports from his managers within the club on all matters from finance, to HR, to sponsorship and fan experiences to the football department. When issues arise, he takes advice from his subject matter experts, formulates some suggested solutions, and takes them to the board (Lee), for more discussion. Lee presents the issues with possible mitigation strategies to the board and they formulate and vote on a direct line of action. Lee then instructs Pascoe on how he is to proceed and he disseminates this strategy/decision to his affected managers, who then action it.

We can continue sacking coaches and line managers until our dicks catch fire and nothing will change. They aren’t the decision makers.
Can you understand English? Sheens was NOT sacked, period.

Wayne Bennett is older.
On this forum we have several frequently cited coaches: Sheens, Gould and Bennett.
They are all similar age:
WB 73 yo
TS 72 yo
PG 65 yo

If the age is the criteria (ageism ?) does it mean they:
- are all past it?
- the ones I like are perfectly OK, but the ones I do not like "lost their marbles"?
- or the age is irrelevant, other qualities are much more important?

Pascoe is only accountable to his KPI's. How do we know what they are.
For all we know (but the way this board operates is highly likely) that his role description has no mention of on-field performance. For all we know, the CoE, the use of multiple home grounds to turn a profit, the hat & scarf sales (!!) are his only KPI's.
If that's the case he's the administrator of the year! And untouchable too.

Don’t forget, he had Sheens doing two jobs and likely paying just the one salary.
Lots of savings there that had been allocated in the previous budget.
Benji is probably on training wheels salary to boot.
The bloke will likely receive a bonus this year.

If his KPis only relate to financials … then why is he involved in football team decisions … players coming and going and appointment of coaches…

More likely he has no KPIs and a vague job description …

The message coming out of Concord is Benji has the players onboard. Granted that can change in a heart beat, but it’s still a good place to start from. Benji will be given time and rightly so, no one could even dream of a top eight finish in 24, but we should be on the move up the ladder. Sheens was only ever a figure head and mentor. His job was to keep the wolves at bay and after he ruffled the bed over the Fulton appointment, by mutual agreement he and the club decided to take another direction.

Get Benji bomber Morris as his side kick and it will be a great move
