What's people thoughts on his debut?

I liked some stuff. He hits a hole very well, we haven't had a centre hit a hole like that since prime Lawrence. I liked his commitment in defence while a few defensive decisions were a little off, it showed promise.

He struggled with some passing under pressure, but I suspect that would improve with more time considering he has played a lot of 6. He may be better suited to left centre in this regard. Good speed.

Overall I liked what he added to our attack with his pace and hole running. Very balanced runner.

Solid debut.

Agree - has the ability to get through the line and could easily have had 2 try assists if the rushed pass hadn't gone forward and had he drew and passed to his winger instead of stepping the FB and going alone.

Called for him to be give; a go months back , he did well maybe some nerves Early but his stats were very good some one posted them , they read well for a first up game in the nrl , leave hi:in the starting side

Better than i expected to be fair but still think we can do better in this position.
Happy to see if him play next week and improves on this performance.
Wasn't expecting him to set the world alight, but good debut nevertheless.
Still not convivence he justifies a top 30 contract.
Will be happy to be proven wrong.

He’s got upside that’s for sure.
I’ve always said the players who stand out at NSW Cup or Qld Cup almost always can produce similar when given a chance playing NRL.
Reilly has scored a lot of tries in our NSW Cup team that is struggling.
Also his effort play when putting pressure on the opposing kicker was impressive.

Agree with most posts, he looked like he was trying a little too hard which is understandable in your first NRL game. I liked some of his lines and he jammed a bloke in a tackle which was nice. Would be happy to see him given more of a chance to gauge what he’s like once the initial nerves and eagerness die down

When he signed I remember reading his biggest concern would be his defence which looked solid.

Not that worried about the passes even Twal has a offload these days.

A really good debut. Sound in defence, elusive, runs a strong line and seems to have some pace. He appears to be a run first type of guy as he had a couple of opportunities to put Noffa away and he either doesn’t have the skills or lacks confidence. He isn’t overly powerful runner as his hit ups (while enthusiastic) didn’t seem to dent the line much.

Moving forward, I suppose they need to weigh up want they want out of a centre.

Played better than Talau ever did.
Played better than Kepoa also.

Well done to him.
Don't think he's the right player for us, moving forward though (as a first choice centre)

Happy for him to continue racking up stat's for the Magpies though.
Believe he's very close, childhood friends with Laurie.
