I completely agree. I just think we need to keep Seyfarth and Twal.
Gotta let go of some players …as spots are limited

Yes and No. I mean sure we've seen Manly without him and it somewhat supports your statement. But Manly have also won plenty of games with Garrick at fullback.TT + Manly anyone?
yepSo Souffs have released Burgess but are keeping Morris,,, is that right?

Yep, they both are the workers that every squad needs. Hopefully we can unload a couple of other forwards that are not really progressing to create spots.I completely agree. I just think we need to keep Seyfarth and Twal.
Shouldn't have anything to do with recruitment-or anything else! What has he got to do with recruitment?
Unfortunately he employs the football department staff (Sheens/McDonald) and then goes in another direction (Benji/Fulton). These are the guys that are supposed to be providing direction, but the direction keeps changing. What has he got to do with recruitment?
it was looking dire there for a little while, but the club has done very well to shore up its depth in the halves. Sezer, Sullivan, L. Fainu and Galvin all ready to go for preseason with Doueihi due back at some point. excellent work WT.
Sezer is a smart signing for ‘24. an experienced head who will assist Api in leading the side around and carrying out Marshall’s game plans. can throw a cutout both sides, still has an elite short kicking game and his mentoring skills will go a long way. welcome Aidan!
It seems he asked for a release according to the article. Morris' contract ends this year?So Souffs have released Burgess but are keeping Morris,,, is that right?

I would say the Burgess / Demetriou relationship is untenable in relation to player accountability, and the fact He’s already leaving , and Morris will be kept on to finish the season .It seems he asked for a release according to the article. Morris' contract ends this year?

Klemmer is the tough forward leader we required. Utoikamanu is going to be a fine forward for WTs. We are in the happy position of having a number of good young forwards who have some NRL experience who are attracting interest. As for the younger players, we don't offer them a top 30 position. we will lose them to predatory clubs. It is not easy winning the spoon.
Brooks has had, how many halves partners?
Couldn't suit any of them.
He's been a curse to this team and with him leaving the curse is finally lifted.
We'll see a much improved team next year.
Where is Warren McDonnell right now and why? Who is this Scott Fulton dude and who employed him? How is the 5 year plan going? What has he got to do with recruitment?
Klemmer is averaging 140m running per game, he is averaging 53post contact metres per game, tackling at 99% efficiency.I definitely don't think Klemmer is the tough forward leader we needed. I think it's looking like turning out a dud contract.
I don't think Klemmer is anywhere near a dud contract. Nor do I think he is a tough forward leader. I think he is a pretty good forward performing his role and being paid accordingly.I definitely don't think Klemmer is the tough forward leader we needed. I think it's looking like turning out a dud contract. If we lose Seyfarth or Twal then I think it's a bad contract.
When it comes to juniors we need to pick the right ones more consistently. We haven't had much success with our developments players. Bula and Pole are great pickups but we appear to be carrying a bunch of younger players who won't make first grade within the next couple of seasons. I accept we will never get this right all the time but I think the 2024 squad just looks unbalanced.
There was talk earlier in the year we were under the cap and had flexibility to move some funds forward to next year etc. I'd be looking at using those funds to pay out the contracts of a couple of blokes to secure "mutal release" and create space for next season then offer them the option of train and trial/Cup contracts for next season. Effectively those blokes will get next season's wage upfront and have the added bonus of a guaranteed cup salary next year as well. Rua, Reilly, Mansfield and the Fainu already here would be where I would startGotta let go of some players …as spots are limited
Please stop reporting NRL 360 in the signings thread. Start a new thread for the commentary of hotdogs and beetroots? The other numb nut on 360 has Ice and Stef going back to the eels. They just can’t help themselves, no matter what other news is happening in league, let’s belt Weststigers.
