Just keep in mind my recent posts about good coaches emerging from mediocre players. I would say yes learnt more about football since he stopped playing than he did on the field.
I’m backing him to really bloom !!

PS. Michael Hagan is a clever operator and imo carried Big Mal for a lot of that golden SOO run( but of course they did have a few good players.
I don’t think he would be interested in joining us.

Just come home from our local bowlo club , just had couple beers with a Parra mate who live in the Same complex as I do in Queensland / Bribie Island , and his son text him a message saying
Parra looking to take back Steph and Papi , both want out ,I only had 4 ice cold beers but shit I hope this is just rubbish , and if not , bloody hold both these guys to there contracts , no more piss week releases , we just got some good halves so both can stay put , don’t know what’s going on back down in Sydney but that’s just pretty bad to hear it up hear , no more week decisions , stay strong and if they do t like it , play them in reserves , we can’t keep chasing our tail for players ,

I think Fulton comes across as a guy not to be walked over..
We have not overpaid for players for a while now and I think the club is doing a pretty good job.

Papalil'i never wanted to join us and only reluctantly did once forced to honour his contract. He's been decent but no where near his Parra form, whether thats not us using him correctly or a desire thing i dunno.
I wouldn't be surprised if he hasnt been looking for an exist the whole time hes been here.

- blore was told by club before scott fulton that he would be free to explore options, deal with leeds was done, but club has had massive change of heart

- riccio believes ice is on his way to parra, the club is looking to move some players on thats no lie, but ice isnt going anywhere, the tigers made a mid season play for ethan sanders and parra wanted ice in return

- stefano will get a contract upgrade in the offseason

i think that story has been shot down by Schuster, his manager, Fulton, Benji, Sheens and Lee all at different points but still gets raised here multiple times a day.

Papalili and Stefano are our best forwards right now at the club and they better be treated like that if they do ask for a release. My mail though is Stefano’s happy at the club, however unsure on Papalili’s status.

You just have to love how journos can start anything they like to put doubt in peoples minds.

Don't know if anyone watched the ask the boss segment. I like the way Fulton spoke. Has no time for rubbish journalists/nonsense and sounds like he knows what he wants moving forward to bring success to our club.

Seems clear that he, Benji and the recruitment committee are on the same page, have a plan of who they need and are going after them.

Still has recruitment plans in the works for 2024, along with looking at moving players on (but at the same time trying not to take up all the spaces of our more promising juniors coming through).

This is extremely vague, but on the Bloke in a Bar podcast the Hello Sport guys said that there’s a rumour that they “hope isn’t true”…they said it’s in relation to the Tigers signing a new player. They seemed concerned and said they were a game breaker. Given they support Manly and get inside knowledge one can only assume that another high-profile or up and coming Manly player is coming to Tigers.
