Addo-Carr is favourite with the fans .. but Josh said some nasty things about the Tigers and Club whilst he knocked our offer back and then signed with the Kennel. Im not a 100% sure that our hierarchy would even entertain the idea of having the Fox back ..would love Fox back. few people think he’s lost his toe but he is still a brilliant winger who is great for culture around the joint. there’s also something sentimental about seeing him come home.
Lobb is an interesting signing but its an indication of what the club is after in regards to wingers. big and tall, athletic, great leap and can bend the line. he has a bit of work to do but I guess that’s anticipated given he was formerly a backrower. question is what type of contract he’ll be given.
Weekes I’m not fussed about. a decent backup fullback and 5/8 but at this point I don’t see a first grader unless he’s playing the 14 role. Parramatta might resurrect their X-Factor fullback plan and go after him, which wouldn’t surprise me too much. if we get him, great. if not, not an issue.
all of this is in vain if we don’t free up roster spaces tho. we need to aggressively shop players we think we will be snapped up by other clubs. Simpkin, Kepaoa and Nofoaluma all make sense. each have upside and something to offer. this is where Fulton will make his dough.
I'd look at Weekes in the centres if he was a target. Outstanding speed.Addo-Carr is favourite with the fans .. but Josh said some nasty things about the Tigers and Club whilst he knocked our offer back and then signed with the Kennel. Kaeo Weeks on the other hand is a real chance of coming to the club .. a favourite of Scott Fulton so there is a connection between these two. Kaeo is a former NSW State athletic sprint champion he has a real turn of speed. He's just over 6 foot and weighs in at around 94kgs.
Alexander Lobb - winger from the Dragoons is an interesting one .. scored heaps out on the wing (best position) and in the centres for the Dragoons this year in the lower grades. Local junior of the Illawarra he's a big tall kid (6'3" around 98kgs) with plenty of confidence under the high ball .. and he has decent speed.
That'd be the go.I'd look at Weekes in the centres if he was a target. Outstanding speed.
As opposed to the wing. I don't think he'd be a lot of help on the dummy half runs. I could be wrong though. That'd be the go.

Depends on the Man,One man won't change it here either.
Illawarra has a good track record of producing goalkicking wingers. Rueben Garrick is a handy winger/fullback and goalkicker.Addo-Carr is favourite with the fans .. but Josh said some nasty things about the Tigers and Club whilst he knocked our offer back and then signed with the Kennel. Whatever happened to the centre/three-quarter? Ie. A ball-playing second 5/8th that can create for the fullback and winger but also has the defensive capabilities as a centre. Like the second five-eighth in rugby.Weekes hasn't every played anything but fullback or Five eight and is only 90kgs. Like him as a player but don't think a litweight five eight/fullback is what we need in the centres
Pretty sure the deal was done then we refused to trade Tommy Talau to MelbourneThe so called Tiger supporter that signed with the dogs.
Love the optimism not sure how much realism but my main point im trying to make is that Storm have about 14 good players to cover positions 1-7 .I'm always amazed how they keep finding relative unknowns . I just wonder if we could do some deal to get a couple of them on our roster . For 2024 we've got one Quality center in Toa . Would like to see Olam and Jimmy Ngatlik in our backlineThat’s not true at all . We have taken them to the wire for the last few years with thier A team. This implication that we are coming last means we are the worst team is not living in reality .
Our team is ultra competitive to the frustration of many , we can’t seem to close out wins . If it’s not us screwing ourselves , it’s blatant incompetent ref decisions , luck , or skullduggery from the opposition .
We have the yips in regards to winning . But if we can find a way to get over the top of the tips there’s a very very competitive football team at the club .
It’s soo close to turning , honestly I believe 1-2 players with class could be all the difference .
Hopefully that’s Fainu and Sullivan , or even Galvin . We could have a Fainu / Galvin halves pairing as soon as 2025 , even with Sullivan in the squad .
Or it could be Galvin Sullivan , who knows .
Jamie Lyon ayeWhatever happened to the centre/three-quarter? Ie. A ball-playing second 5/8th that can create for the fullback and winger but also has the defensive capabilities as a centre. Like the second five-eighth in rugby.
Or has that version of the position been replaced by bigger bodies?
Just because we occasionally play well against a top side, doesn’t mean we are in any way comparable to them. That’s not true at all . We have taken them to the wire for the last few years with thier A team. This implication that we are coming last means we are the worst team is not living in reality .

I think that is correct , what a dumb move by us , getting rid of Tommy for the fox , no brainer. But not usPretty sure the deal was done then we refused to trade Tommy Talau to Melbourne
I'm about to pause my Kayo in a few weeks.official now : Kaeo weekes free to negotiate with other clubs
We just signed the most touted junior half in the country. Depth and youth signings out wide are definitely necessary for Tigers current roster deficits. This is obviously another example of our "agressive" recruitment, every other club will be running scared now.We sign a bloke who can't make first grade at a club that is barely above where we are
I always think back to the pacey centre three quarter of moderate dimensions such as Michael O'Connor and Andrew Ettinghausen. Both were dynamic backs.Whatever happened to the centre/three-quarter? Ie. A ball-playing second 5/8th that can create for the fullback and winger but also has the defensive capabilities as a centre. Like the second five-eighth in rugby.

You haven't been paying attention to Paps' injury history? I would not be in a hurry to thin out the fullback backup options.Would say meaney services will no longer be required after seeing papz last night.
