Don't mind Alamoti. Was the next big thing in the NRL centre ranks not too long ago. Reckon the dogs should have stuck with him. Plenty of future potential. He lives and breathes league. Interesting that one of the guys he has looked up to previously and based his game off is Olam.

If we are looking at him, it would only be if Kepaoa is moved on. Alamoti is a tackle busting centre seen as a potential future backrower. Does not possess the speed we need as our first choice outside back recruit. As @balmain boy said, Benji will be seeking speed given our squad’s deficiency in speed & x-factor.

How are you planning to move Doueihi on? He's under contract and won't play until mid-season at best. Who do you think is going to take him?

Would be great for our culture @Kaito , could it be happening!!!! My query is whether he has enough experience for our assistant role given it’s been reported that we are after another experienced asst coach like a Craig Sandercock. I wonder though, if Furner moves on, could we have 3 assistant coaches like this year. Morris, Ellis & another with experience???

My tip is Lachlan Galvin to finish next season as one of our 1st team centres! I reckon Benji will start him as 5/8 in Flegg then progress him into Cup as a centre as a ‘transitionary’ position (much like a young Fittler). If Galvin can work hard in the gym in the off-season and show that his defence is up to it in NSW Cup, he could be a gun centre - strong ball runner, great pass/offload, can chase & take attacking bombs & is deceptively quick. No inside intel, just my own thoughts.

it's not a bad shout by any stretch, but I think back row is where he should end up, mainly because it's further in and gives him the opportunity to play similar to how he does in the halves.

his ballplaying is his best asset. i've rarely seen him take the wrong option.

we'd effectively have to world-class five-eighth's down one edge in Galvin and Large, with Makasini and Laulili'i further out. if you're wondering where Latu is, he's on the right side! that's enough to make me salivate.

Faitala Mariner told he can leave the Dogs. Thoughts? Probably can't fit him in but could be a good, experienced cheapie.

He was the guy as club captain that went to the coach and said there are getting trained to hard.

Good news Rua moving on, was worried it would be Simpkin.

Need to move Mansfield on now imo, pay out Douiehi for next year and we have some room to move.

IMO Oates and Olam like for like in a way. Thought Olam played well on the weekend. Would probably rather him just because we have a bit more depth on the wing but either would be a benefit I think.

Seyfarth, Staines and either Olam or Oates and we may be in line for not winning a third straight spoon….

Thomas Jenkins seems to be quality but with Crighton moving to the Doggies he might be first in line to replace him. We would need to offer him big bucks to move to the back to back Wooden Spooners.

I'd still be looking at them and seeing who we could nab, offering a good wage, a future and a guarantee of starting.

I’d love this, but can he coach nrl defence?
Bcoz right now we only need people who can actually add value to team wins. We can’t afford jobs for the boys especially if they don’t have the talent too.

Still would love him around, he ran hard, good lines, hit hard in D and never shirk his work. Also never had to eat someone’s ear off to get the job done.

The Flanagan kid has made some good coin for being a fairly average half.

He’s a footy player through & through this kid, arguably the best schoolboy player this year but I’m biased of course. He could play any position bar prop & wing and excel. Has the attributes to be a gun centre at an early age then transition back to halves with experience & opportunity. Yes he is a 5/8 I agree but if he’s allowed to progress to NRL as a 19yo without the pressure of being a playmaker, he could do anything. Difference with Latu is Latu has more experience against men at Cup level already. Down the track, I reckon our halves can be Latu & Galvin 👍
