Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I liked Seyfarth. He was a goer. Now he's apparently going to the Dogs.

The WT are now a development club, whose only role is to provide training and experience for players until they are ready to be poached by teams that have a chance to actually compete.

Puh-leez. Seyfarth isn't a development project,
and he sure as shit isn't winning anything at the
dogs either haha. Genuinely want to keep him
as well but if dogs are offering him more than
we are willing to offer than so long & good luck.
Plenty of players this off season getting tapped
on the shoulder due to cap constraints or other
reasons. Who's to say benji & Fulton haven't got
someone lined up/in mind at the moment either.
It's not all doom & gloom losing Alex if it happens
is all I'm saying. Happy to keep him but whatever

Glad to see Seyfarth moved on. He’s a puppy dog who throws himself all over the place and flops on tackled players to keep his stats up. He developed some ball skills but we need the more thick-set type forward, we have plenty of night club physiques already.

I just read Atasi James has been let go?! Why?

He failed to have any impact against Manly from the bench?
I was a huge Atasi James fan until he got his chance in first grade. He was absolutely gassed after 5 minutes! If someone can get him fit then there’s a big engine and body there but the fuel lines are currently blocked. Too risky for our Top 30 at this stage.

So did everyone else.
😂 true.
Imo James looked like a footy player and could have developed with fitness. It looks like the 6 games and 120min of playing time were enough for Fulton and Benji to think otherwise, as they go about reshaping the squad.
Seyfarth is not a footy player but has what James doesn’t have..energy.
Just hope the squad reshaping includes names like Olakau’atu and Koula?

Agree 100%. He didn’t get on the field against Manly, probably been let go before the game?

Couldn’t be happier that Seyfarth is leaving as it means we get rid another plodder. He has been garbage for 95% of his time here and the fact that people want to re-sign him after a few solid games (in a contract year) is embarrassing. He makes piss all yardage on the field, he doesn’t hit hard in tackles and has all the aggression of a cocker spaniel. I’ve never seen a forward with his size get dominated so easily.

Not to mention that he has the usual forum dopes like @earl and @pawsandclaws1 singing his praises. That alone should be a good enough reason to let him go.

We have 28 spots filled for next year and all our forward spots are filled unless we get rid of someone. So to keep either Seyfarth or James you would need to get rid of a current forward and in both cases probably a current prop. The only middles in the rotation you could conisder getting rid of would be Blore or Sione Fainu. Neither are better then Blore and for obvious reasons we would not be getting rid of Sione Fainu. We also have Kit, Faagatu and Miller coming through

Looks like Paseka did when we let him go.
