I dont mind it. Morris has shown he is a capable coach with Cronulla, and then you have Furner who is an experienced campaigner to guide Benji when needed. Would prefer someone else other than Farah...Lee just said benji, Morris, , farah, Furner coaching staff God help us
Hopeful one of the two spots will be Charlie Staines if he can agree to around the $300k mark (down from his current $500k). That will be the sticking point. We have 28 spots filled for next year and all our forward spots are filled unless we get rid of someone. So to keep either Seyfarth or James you would need to get rid of a current forward and in both cases probably a current prop. The only middles in the rotation you could conisder getting rid of would be Blore or Sione Fainu. Neither are better then Blore and for obvious reasons we would not be getting rid of Sione Fainu. We also have Kit, Faagatu and Miller coming through
Sezer was told he was not going to be re-signed and decided he wanted to go back to Australia. His options were very limited.Sezer was keen to play NRL again and signed with us.
That left Leeds without a half and they just signed Frawley. Simple as that.
Some people just enjoy putting a negative spin on things.
He is holding out. For another club to make a comparable offer so he can get out of here like Garnet & PeacheyI can not believe Stains hasn't been locked up. Who the heck are they holding out for?!
Peachey was never going to be signed by anyone other than Penrith. He was woeful for the first grade team and the magpies when he was here. He never wanted to come.He is holding out. For another club to make a comparable offer so he can get out of here like Garnet & Peachey
I like it but who is coaching our attack? Morris and Furner are both defensive coaches from memory.I dont mind it. The problem is we can't. Hence the reason he was regularly in our top 17.Seyfarth is a good worker, but also a plodder...hardly bends the line.. We can do better
We keep locking ourselves into development contracts where players end up taking a spot in the top 30, but aren't good enough to be considered for first gradeId probably rather keep Seyfarth over Tumeth or Mansfield but they have contracts while Seyfarth does not.
We have too many forwards and his spot should go to a winger like Staines.
Twal's defence is about 500 times betterSo everyone on here was complaining our forwards never bend the line or bust tackles & then complain that Seyfarth has been moved on? Don’t get me wrong he's improved leaps & bounds but there’s really no difference between him & Alex Twal as players.
Blore all day , next year injury free he will be a weaponReasons FOR keeping Seyfarth- tries hard, improving, developed through our ranks, wouldn't break the bank balance.
Reasons FOR NOT keeping Seyfarth- doesn't strengthen the squad, fits somewhere between 14th & 22nd player on the roster, not worth a bidding war, only JUST starting to fit into 1st grade.
If Seyfarth stays, for mine, it has to be at the expense of another forward. Not additional to. So either one of the young guys goes & Seyfarth stays, or you let him move on. I like him, to a level. You don't lopside your squad balance to fit him in.
For mine, Seyfarth, Blore, Twal, Sione Fainu are fighting for 3 spots. Tumeth & Mansfield are staying. Fainu survives, rightly or wrongly, because of his brothers (and he reminds of Aitasi James so much). Twal is probably the pick of the group. So it's Seyfarth vs Blore.
Its pretty much a top 29 for us as Sione is just there to keep the bro's happy.Reasons FOR keeping Seyfarth- tries hard, improving, developed through our ranks, wouldn't break the bank balance.

Yes we only need to do this if the kid is an. Absolute gun , Tumeth as example is not worth it plenty as good or better running aroundWe keep locking ourselves into development contracts where players end up taking a spot in the top 30, but aren't good enough to be considered for first grade
Heard that a few times now…Blore all day , next year injury free he will be a weapon
Surely Burgess? Why is Morris considered a defensive coach? Surely he can do both? Rugby League isn't the NFL- the same guys that attack, also defend. Was Morris or Burgess the defensive coach at Souths?
