2023 NRL Finals General Discussion thread *Spoilers*

Cast your mind back 2 world cups ago, where he scored 13 tries in 2 games.
He was well on the way to being the best winger in the game’s history.
Nah I’m going to NFL
When he came back he demanded to play fullback not wing…and struggled.
Finally re-invented himself in the centres, playing SOO for series wins there and got back in the Kangaroos team…as the winger.
There is an international series coming up which he would have scored a starting jersey for and he does this…

Newcastle the surprise packet. Certainly winning also seems to create an element of luck. Don't have them in the class of Penrith or Broncos but while ever they are there and healthy they can't be taken lightly.
Their defence isn’t strong enough.
Can’t let 5 tries in against any of the remaining sides and expect to win.

That said, great year from them and with the crowd behind them, they should keep trending upwards next year.
