2023 NRL Finals General Discussion thread *Spoilers*

Yaaah, I like Mase so I'm bias.

And I strongly dislike Gamble. His comments were pretty over the top too.
Gamble has played really good footy this year and is one of the key drivers in the Knights making it to the semi final.
Mason was out of line attacking him leading into the finals series. Why not let him play and comment in the debriefing once they are done?
A 27 year old Willie Mason would have told him to get f#$ked as well.
Publicly shaming him after his team is bundled out is poor form. Mase is a footy man, he knows better.

It seems like Penrith, Warriors and Brisbane are almost in a league of their own.

Warriors, incredibly strong and fast, Penrith just have strong juniors everywhere and Brisbane are oosing talent (most of which I believe are going to other teams next year).

It's really amazing how Andrew Webster seems to have been able to work his magic into the Warriors. Sure Johnson is back but Reece Walsh left. Clearly a good coach.

He has done very well with a team full of non-performers/rejects from other clubs.

I say that after learning that the rookie coach left 12 men on the field for the last 7 minutes of the game... OOPS!

Well, Tigers taught him something.

Carrying on like a knob as usual. You're the one bristling at any criticism of the roosters. I dislike them, but couldn't give a shit whether they win or lose. What I don't understand is the sympathy they get from some on here. Seems awfully woke to me.
Yea i think Tucker is a closet latte sipper.

Siro junior is so much better than all our depth players and is probably on the same coin or less. Ideal bench player, can play on an edge and play dummy half. Very good defender and has some football IQ. I would take him and Curran tomorrow and put some passion in the club

Such a shit stain of a human little Willie is. Publicly kick a player moments after losing a huge career game. Next the wanker will be banging on about how much he cares about mental health issues.

Drop kick is involved with the Bulldogs coaching staff whose team did little better then the Tigers and wants to throw stones at the Knights players a few games away from a GF. Glass houses little Willie.

And incase he got hit in the head too many times to remember the massive piece of shit he was during his playing days.

And without O'Meley, Price and Asatasi lifting his weight in a pack the dude was found out real fast after he left the dogs.

Real Rugby League people appreciate the efforts of all teams and players.
Fake Rugby League people only care about their own.
They were shit for 80% of the season - star studded international side and they only started to perform in the last 2 months. Good riddance that they are out.

Tigers lead the bears in the Q cup grand final.

Few former wests Tigers in both teams.

It’s strange…I watch his podcast Levels with Justin Horo and quite like it. They both constantly crack on about players they consider doggs or dawgs or whatever..they claim it’s a term of endearment for under rated players who are consistently strong and always dig in. Gamble often fits these parameters yet Mase has hammered him twice on his pod and now on Twitter as well and I’m sure next weeks pod will see him cop it again.
He has successfully got under his skin.

I couldn’t care less that they are out, they showed great backbone and tenaciousness under adversity and that’s what I appreciated.
